yum. eat them.
trip of your LIFE guaranteed
*As I received a moderator warning for this, I must be clear - THIS IS SATIRE. The "trip of your life" eludes to you will probably be really sick from eating those.
Never, ever eat any mushroom unless you are 100% sure. And never eat anything if someone just says so. Go learn about your IDing, make sure you know common specimens that are similar, and know how to differentiate.
Also - Know satire, learn its evilness.

Definitely don't eat those but generally those grow in a similar habitat to subs.

Yeah.. on second thoughts... the whole "I feel like i'm dying thing" in comparison with "I'm dying" are two quite different trips.

yeah, do not eat they may or may not contain the active they will not kill you, they are not like galerinas. but they will make you sick explosive diarrhoea apparently last yr i met a guy who claimed to have ate one, but whom was unable to confirm or deny the activity due to ingestion of other substances but did report diarrhoea often found near subaeruginosa, an indicator species often mistaken for them. they are tyhe 'weeds' of the woodchip mulch.

Dont eat them. but hang on to them, there is a chance they are subs.
Keep them somewhere safe, wraped in newspaper. And if they are blue within 24 hours, there subs. But make sure it is Clearly BLUE, not black or 'could be blue'.
They dont look subs to me,
Anyhow, Make a proper id request, A trusted id,er will tell you. ok?

yeah, subs for sure.
Zenxi don't guess at identifying mushrooms. if your not sure dont speculate.
i had some great hunts today, found heaps, in a rather funny place as well. This pub near my house has a carpark with tonnes of woodchips and tree litter etc. nabbed a decent ammount, and all close to home too!
what a pub ay, nice food, beer and mushrooms on offer!

Hey, was hoping a local Melbourner could clear some stuff up for me? I've recently moved over from Tas and this is my first season in Melbourne...The weather was all cold and shroomy yesterday so I bussed out to woop-woop, donned a pair of oversized gumboots and proceeded to stumble about in the leaf-litter, moss, wood chip, pine-trees, long grass and horse crap optimistically (with my paper-bag and scissors at the ready) for several hours to no avail! I've since heard rumour that the grand amounts of rain and cold have killed off the fungi, please tell me it isn't true! The season doesn't even kick off in Tas until first frost, surely Melbourne shrooms aren't so weak that they can't handle a little cold weather!?
Naturally I had to indulge in the last of my dried 2010 stash before flying over and have been looking forward (understatement) to the new season, please tell me I haven't missed it!

Yes, the weather is ideal right now IMO. I give it a few days after a huge down pour and then go for a look. No need to necessarily go out to woop woop. They are everywhere and often right under people's noses. Look locally and look often, you'll find them soon enough.

Found this monster before while out looking for subbs. Anyone have any idea what it might be?. It is the only one i've ever seen. I couldn't bring myself to pull this monster out the ground, so I've only got this one shitty pic.

It's only a small patch, but some of the best, most chunkiest fruits were yet to come!
Stranger, you didn't even have the decency to replace the woodchips. Shame on you.
Damn Lord i know how that feels But hey at least there is still some there - and i KNO you'll be just fine - you guys probably have subs poppin outta your couches down there

Went for a hunt today. Found around 40 subs, someone was picking at the spot i usually pick at and had taken a lot, but still missed quite a few. Pretty funny, we were both concentrating on the ground and looked up at the same time and saw each other from like a meter away. I just gave him a nod and said hey mate aha.
After that spot i went to another, and ran into two guys picking. had a chat with them and hunted together for a bit. We then sat down and shared a joint. hehe, other hunters are nice people
Anyway, here are some picks, i through a few picks of already cut subs, and some others i found interesting.

Wow its been some time since i've been on here, so many names i don't know. Anyway, no picking for me just time spent getting fresh air and enjoying the art of photography. Enjoy.

Went to my patch for a hunt today, and to my surprise they were completely cleared. Nothing was left not even the odd pin
