Wooohoooooo!Found a new patch in Northern Suburbs and just picked 200+ shrooms, and left 100 pins growing. We're on like Donkey Kong.

I ate about 4 of mine roughly about 8pm, so about 3 hours ago and I have to say,I have just been having the best feelings ever for the past few hours. I did get afraid a few minutes ago that what I ate was deadly and these feeling were to comfort my body while it is dying. Lets hope it isn't though. So yeah, my ones seem to be A-OK!!!

Building upon my earlier post I've since looked at the spore prints and they appear consistent with P. Subaeruginosa (dark brown / purple)

The ones with the darker gills were just a bit old I think which is probably the reason for the larger than normal ones too. Anyway, I've gone through my batch and they've all bruised blue quite clearly after 24 hrs and I'm currently drying them . Thanks for the help everyone.

fffffuuuuuckkkk mayo that patch makes me wet.
Went out with a few friends on Friday, didn't have much luck til we were about to go home, I insisted on walking through another park... saw some other guys picking so we thought we were in luck, sure enough...

Mostly pins so we'll come back later, but ended up with about 100g worth of fresh subs, which we went through that night

For some reason, I haven't even thought to hunt, because I didn't think the season would've started so soon!
But, I spoke to a friend who was in the Box Hill area and found a bunch of P. Subaeruginosa, and I think a hunt is well on the cards for me soon!
... Especially since, at a family outing to the Zoo on Anzac Day, my partner and I found a bunch of mushrooms growing outside the frog exhibit.
Zoo mushrooms. awesome.

@lukefish: They're all subs. Make sure they bruise Blue and have Purple/Brown spore prints.
Also make yourself aware of mushrooms in the genus Galerina. They're deadly. Look at the link here to see good pictures of how similar they can look to subs.

I found so many fucking shrooms today it was amazing. 3rd year lucky alright, I picked so many I couldn't carry anymore.
I feel slightly greedy, but you know what, fuck it. 3 years of finding nothing, im going to dry these guys out and store enough for the next year or so, then continue hunting smaller amounts during the weeks to come.
fuck im excited, definitely posting up pictures tomorrow after my second hunt of the month (:

Found these slim pickings today in the East Gippsland area but not really sure what they are. Am doing a spore print now, but am very new to this and am wondering is that darkness around the stems blue bruising? I pinched them very hard & it came up around 2-3 hours later only. Plus they are very old and damp and I find it hard to tell.
