 Bulk substrates...

Okay I've read practically every tek on this site, and still haven't grown yet. I originally was going to PF Tek then case (I want as many shroomies as possible). Then I read into bulk substrates and the faster colinization and larger yields seem more up my ally hehe. Even though I'm a first timer I still think I can make it work given enough research and that I follow every step carefully. But there aren't any truly good TEKs out there, like there are with the PF Tek. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do?

No good bulk teks?? 
If you have a PC use 6T's birdseed tek to generate spawn, and then Roadkill's Horse Poo tek to make mushies.
If no PC then stick with the PF tek.

Hey trippy. My friend is thinking the same as you. He did some jars and got one flush. But now wants to move straight to bulk subs. As a matter of fact, he just spawned his first straw and composted manure tray today with the same ground pf cakes. I hope it goes good for him.

even if you dont have a PC you can use cooked whole grain brown rice in jars sterilized in a large pot and then spawn to dung. see 9er Tek.

i would say Roadkills Poo Tek is damn good. It works well and is easy. all u need to do is get some jars colonized. even PF-tek jars can be used once fully colonized to spawn poo. I used colonized mycobags my first time.

I still need my other question answered... is there a good chance of succeeding in following these bulk TEKs if I am still new to growing mushrooms.

i have never done it any other way. when i first started i ordered 4 mycobags and 4 syringes. i learned how few shrooms a bag produces so i read about bulk teks. i used Roadkills poo tek and did my bags. then i started using whole grain brown rice to poo. now im using oats to poo.

cant use edit so ill just add this.
SIMPLE BULK POO
Materials:
* 1 pint jar of colonized grain of your choice
*rubbermaid container with clear snap-lid, 8"x11" (drill holes in the top for air)
*pasteurized poo
Crumble up cake into poo. Poo should be 1-3" thick. The deeper it is the longer it will take to colonize but will result in more and bigger fruit. Should take a week or so to colonize and start pinning.
You really cant get any simpler than this.

A TEK shouldn't be deemed good unless if the lowest common denominator (me) can use it successfully. Each and every TEK has discrepancies that make it difficult to envision exactly what there is to do. A few pictures would go a long way. Yes, I'm a visual learner, I need usually need pictures to learn. I think the discrepancies arise from the author's assumption that the readers following the TEk are experienced in growing - which I am not, hence my asking "How can I follow a BULK TEK if I do not understand the basic procedures of a BULK TEK?"

BULK TEKS NOT FOR NOOOBIE
get your feet wet with the pf tek then try casing. THEN you can try doing some bulk substrate. but being a newbie who can't follow along with a bulk tek, chances are you are gonna screw it up. so like i said, start with pf tek. and it will provide you with all the shrooms u r gonna need

a tek is only as good as the person performing it.
so follow the basic rules
you just want someone to hand walk you through a bulk tek on your first grow?
read some more and then read a little bit and then do some reading and you should be fine
it's all here at the shroomery just waiting for you to read
at least thats what kramer says
