Ever notice jar condensation prior to contam?
    #14177337 - 03/24/11 05:28 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

Anyone else ever noticed that just before a jar shows signs of being contam'd (like before the white growth turns into another color) that it has heavier condensation than jars that are colonizing regularly?  Why is that?  I understand that condensation is a result of temperature differences between inside and out, but it seems to be pretty consistent.  Does mold growing generate more heat than healthy mycelium?

the contam is a direct result off that excess moister no magic involved... the myceilium can only take in so much water, after it sits there it excess the myceilium van breaks down and the goons come in and rob that motherfucker.

If the jar is sterile and the condensation is a result of temperature differences where is the mold coming from?  The syringe (or bad sterile procedure) would have to be at fault wouldn't it?

it just becomes a sitting duck dude thats it... the moister bogs down the myceilium making it lose the race. you can be as sterile as you want there is always a competor mold lurking somewhere from processes waiting and willing to run down your myceilium when the conditions are right.

i had the same thinig happen.  but the moisture only popped up when the infection becamse apparent. I think the jars started of with perfect moisture level then something went to all hell

lol, in my situation, which seems simular.
