Using PF tek I innoculated 10 jars 7 days ago with tapula spores, the jars are kept at 73 degrees a dark box but there is no sign of any growth or start. Could someone speculate whats going on?

Some of my jars took 10 days to show visible colonization and they were kept in an incubator at 84-86 F.

If you keep them at 73F, the process will be slower for sure.  In the next few days you'll probably start seeing something.

You should consider building a cheap incubator with 2 rubbermaid and a fishtank heater or simply put your box over the fridge and check the temp just to make sure it doesn't overheat (which is quite impossible over a fridge but who knows, maybe yur old rusty fridge is gettin crazy )

if your short on cash...just get them as close as possible in a box and put a blanket/towel around them to keep them warm...they should stay around 80 degrees and prolly take 20-30 days to colonize.
