just look at the history of metal... people are trying to keep things interesting all the time, it's just the music industry is trying up with left-over turd from previous generation because of the industry not really having room for stuff like this.
it's anti music just like punk was and rap was and look how THAT turned out for them... they say those days never died and punk and rap and this and that still lives, and i say say well yes it does... but only those that are going to realize it are going to see it again and make it new again, or at least make it something worthwhile again.
THERE WILL ALWAYS WILL BE HOPEFULLY.
metal is just another anti-disestablishment like so many genres of music that are actually able to get a sense of enjoyment MORE and yet process LESS and not to mention, makes a different approach to music in almost that it is either merely poetry and rhythm or random instrumentation and composition with NO BACKBONE to "classical" music construction. LIKE MOZART? then give a nod TO METAL. it is the only other genre doing that now.
METAL AND ELECTRONIC MUSIC CAN BE THE SAME. BUT NOT THE GOOD STUFF.
AND NEITHER DOES GOOD PUNK, RAP, DUB/REGGAE/ROCK, BLUES, JAZZ, FUSION, POP, DANCE AND ANY OTHER MUSIC THAT I AM MISSING.
that is all.

I'm not a big fan of the new styles of metal. SOAD, Rob Zombie, Metallica (SO FUCKING WHAT!?), Slayer, Ozzy, etc. are the types that I like.

new ozzy even freaks me out
I can hear how everything is different. I particularly like ambient and symphonic metal. but when I hear shit like that, it really does 'sound all the same' to me
How some bands write 10 different songs and they all sound the same.
monotonous 'this is what metal is supposed to sound like' vocals AND the 'we don't do drugs cuz that's bad' like this band (I use this band as an example because my husband used to be in a band with the guitarist and drummer so they're at the top of my shit list when it comes to god damn it, you should know better)
reminds me of this- which makes me laugh hella hard
