I plan on using  grain and then found out you must have a PC for grain. I was wondering if this would work? Do you know how many quart jars this could hold? Thanks guys

Contact them here: http://www.walmart.com/ip/T-Fal-12-Quart-Pressure-Cooker/14321122#Q%26A+Exchange

You need to ask them if the PSI (Pressure Per Square Inch) is rated 15 or above. Then yes it is suitable

Old pressure cookers look sooo much safer. That looks really thin.

That would work ok, but for the money you'd be better off to hit up goodwill.
Or save up a bit more money and get teh Presto23. If you're buying cheap at least buy big.

LOL at the  reviews:

This is exactly what my grandson wanted. The size is perfect and it is a wonderful value.

Grandma, can I have a pressure cooker? And some jars? And your old jelly strainer? Thanks grandma!

for 20 dollars more than that i got the presto 16 qt.  pressure canner. it was supposed by the 23 quart actually but the WM site to store shipped the wrong thing and it was going to take like 3 weeks to get the 23 quart in. i just took the 16 and some $$ back.

i checked at goodwills and thrift stores in my area and i was bummed to not find anything that was complete and/or not shady looking. im not all opposed to saving money, but i was totally opposed to getting shrapnel all in my face from a shady used PC. i supoose being that i had never used a PC before i had no idea to what to look for in a used PC as far as safety goes and it kind of freaked me out a bit.

I was happy with the 16qt presto canner. i'd have been happier with the 23 but i had just bought all the gear and equipment for my project and had some spore syringes sitting at home just looking at me....this was the last peice of neccesary equipement i needed to begin. so impatience got the better of me. i'll just do an addditional batch

the total on the 16qt presto Pressure canner (came with trivet, manual, recipe book, etc) was $65 and some change. and it has a delicious recipe for mixed berry jam.

I am looking for any shiitake strains, any oyster strains, and lions mane cultures. i got cool edibles to trade.

That p16 is pretty nice, my friend has one. Low profile, light weight. Not bad at all.

yeah when i ended up with it at first i was a bit unsatisfied as it was not what had i originally ordered but when i got it home i found it fits perfectly in my lower corner cabinet in my kitchen! too cool...the 23qt would have had to get put away somewhere's else being pretty tall it never would have fit in there. for less than $70 im a happy microscopy student!
