Newb Advice: A proposed Ecuadorian Setup

Hey gang.. Been lurking for awhile and I think that I think I know what a good a grow setup would be if a newb wanted to grow ecuadorians. and I would like to welcome any critiques and/or advice.

IF a newb wanted to grow ecuadorians, here is what I think would be a good setup for him/her.

Firstly, use the pf cakes to get the thing going.. For fruiting, take a rubbermaid container, and invert a smaller rubbermaid container and put inside for a platform for the cakes to sit on.

Then, you kinda have a "moat" area, in which you could put perlite and water, and run some air stones in there.

On the outside, cut a hole in the lid of the rubbermaid container and put a clear piece of plexi-glass to allow light to shine in..

i know this is EXTREMELY basic and I know there may be other methods, but, would this be a good setup for an absolute newb?
