Life and it's seriousness.
    #14172651 - 03/23/11 09:10 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

Someone once told me.
"Ignorance is bliss."

And than an ignorant person told me "No ignorance is not bliss, ignorance is blind"

and I must say, I do agree that ignorance is bliss.

We can't remember the day we were born, and what it was like to be an infant, but I can tell you, the world was a carefree place. ( yes we cried, we wanted food, we couldn't understand anything, but isn't that what the quote is about? )

We found the smallest of things and we laughed at them, the world was amazing.

Do you remember all your firsts? Weren't they spectacular? The rush, the emotions, before the end result, you went into it completely blind, and it was awesome. Ignorance is bliss.

I think I'm just rambling, and I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense. I'm kind of tired...

anyway.. Don't you think we as humans have lost that?

We grow up and life just gets more and more serious. It honestly doesn't need to be. Every situation is what we make of it. Even death. I know it's hard to grasp that, especially death, but let me explain where I'm coming from with the death thing, because I think that's the biggest hurdle. "How can you NOT be serious when someone dies?"

in 2005 I lost someone so very close to me. I never had a father figure growing up and this man was just that. No doubt when he died I cried.. a lot. I think I was abnoxious in my crying at the funeral, HOWEVER. In my heart I knew he wanted me to view his death, not as a day of sorrow, but a day of rememberance, and celebration.
I treat it as a new experience, and embraced it.
I wore a shirt that said "My mommy says I'm special" because he always did this "retard" voice to collect callers, and pretend he was mentally handicapped so they hung up on him.

Then, my family and I got in the car, and just made jokes about the things he loved, and would have joked about. We laughed.

So just proving you can have a good time in the worst of situations.

My point of this thread...

( I know I know, ramble ramble, TLDR )

Settle down sally! Lets all just love eachother, go back to our roots ( first years of life ) and just enjoy life. Lets cut out the serious bullshit, drama, drastic measures. Let us celebrate life for everything that it is, because let me tell you. It's short. I remember being 10 and just wanting to drive, have a car, and drive. Now that I can, I just wish I was 10 again.

So lets make a pact to atleast TRY to take life in a more carefree way!

Here's to new horizons! New begginings! New friendship! And Blissfulness!

I know I'm probably going against my whole post with the seriousness thing, and I shouldn't reply to that picture, but I do disagree with it.

I think every single person is extremely signifcant in some way or anything. Think of every person in your life right now, in some way they have impacted you.. Yes?

They must have impacted others to, and those others have impacted someone else, and so on.

One person plays a pretty huge role in the universe.

That's just my opinion.

Ignorance is bliss for sure but i never wish i was younger and more ignorant again, there is no progression in that. And one thing i hate the most is for things to remain the same like a neverending loop. Ignorance is bliss but also weakness. Its easy to laugh at stuff you dont understand. Power comes from being increasingly aware but still able to find the right perspective to be able to laugh at anything.
