Myco bag question
    #14169877 - 03/23/11 12:55 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

So I'm a beginner and I'm using a rye grain bag. I am starting to see myco in the bag and am getting excited. I've mashed it up after reading another blog about doing that when first seeing growth so I'm excited to see it spread. But my question is what should I do once the bag is full with myco. Do I let everything grow in the bag or do I cut open the bag and place it in a tub?? And If there are any tips that can help me I'd be happy to read them.

wtf.

around here we wait till 20-30% colonization before ripping the mycelium apart.

dont keep shaking/breaking apart the grain.. you will actually slow it down, and maybe even stall out the myc.. give it one good mix/shake at 20-30%, and then just let it finish on its own.. breaking the mycelium network apart over and over is not good for it..

well, i dont know about "myco", but when its fully colonized with "mycelium", then you can fruit it in the bag, put it in a tray and fruit it, cased or uncased, or you can spawn it to a bulk sub, and let it fruit.. lots of options..

dude seriously quit going around telling everyone bullshit information. this is the 3rd post in the last 5 mins ive seen you talking out of your ass...

why would you rip apart the myc every 2 days. that only fucks you over bc they myc has to recover all the time. wait until 20-30% before shaking. once its done either fruit in the bag or in a fc. i believe results will be slightly better if you have a good fc.
