Hey guys was just wondering when the actually shroom season starts and finishes in SA?
I live in the hills and have been out a few times in the last few months with no luck at all
:frown: just wondering if I can get some tips/tricks to help this noob out? Tried shrooms once but it was mild and since then have been looking for the full experience but no one can help me out with where, what, and how! And plz no one say look in heavily wooded areas. Pretty sure that's a given & have heard it 2 many times. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

please edit the location asap. Greetings there , well try looking under eucalyptus trees or pine trees, grassy areas in forests/bushland or woodchipped garden beds and try reading back in the thread as all the info you are after has been asked and answered numerous times before. Season usualy starts end of may through till august but there is no set time, unlike us mushrooms dont live by a calander  also i wouldnt bother hunting until next year if ya cant tell seasons dying off now

Maybe my meds are wearing off and I'm just cranky but please fuck off! There is so many rules and guidelines on hunting in this forum, there is absolutely NO NEED to be posting locations, you clearly just wanna trip as you know about that location, so get with it. Use some common-sense and get out there like everyone else. Don't be so damn lazy.

Half the patches me and friends visit are non-existent from people that go out there and ruin it by mentioning names willy nilly....seriously.

Yeah hold out to next season, people seem to be finding them mostly in spots that they know and attend every year. It's getting harder to find randoms, on the bright side you got a year to study study study!!

dude its in the forum rules and did you ever stop to think that the police could be reading these threads? People drop locations from time to time and they all get told the same thing, like what smokeandtoke said its common sense, say you were growing buds you wouldnt drop the location out to the public. All i can say is to do some reading before coming here wanting it all done for you trust me its annoying as hell! Every single piece of info you are after is on this site and thread, noobs come her all the time asking questions that had been discussed like a page or two earlier people just need to open they're eyes

Nice pictures lord of gnomes and fungus it's great to see there are fresh subs still popping up elsewhere in south oz:)

chubz86, There is some confusion amongst new members as to what is considered to be location specific and yes you're right many locations as specific as the area you mention have popped up in past posts without a word of warning.

As for tips. Looks through the photos on this board and past south oz threads and take note of the surrounding vegetation rather than focusing on the subs themselves. You'll notice that heavily wooded forests are not the only place subs grow.

I think jonstoned and lordofgnomes have it right to wait til next season as it's no easy task finding subs now even for those of us who have good spots at our disposal.

That said i found my first good spot near the end of last season although I didn't know it was good until this season began when the 15 shrivelled subs popped up in thousands.
