Unfortunately the thing about doing dodgy things is that you can't call in for official help. It also limits the things you can do to other people as that may call attention to yourself.
The best thing to do is keep your head down and mind your own business, that will enable you to keep living your current lifestyle and for us to keep doing the same
I'd keep an eye for their car at spots though as if they're being do-gooders for their son they may end up targetting other people too.
If they are just old hippie pickers they're ignorant fucks for picking pins but I wouldn't approach them and tell them so, i'd just leave them alone.

Noooo let's not turn something virutallly harmless into a serious criminal offense of property damage. I know it's hard to just ingnore them but it is the best way.
I had a bad experience yesterday when i went home to check my drying fungus i found out my brother was caught out in a patch and had the police called on him, now i have no tasty spot as the jerk-wad that caught him just destroyed the patch by pouring lime and salt all over the ground.
Luckily for me this IS something i can do something about, got on the bell to a friend with , the EPA and had a chat to him about it, he's a guy i basically grew up with so he's gonna follow it up, and trust me the EPA doesn't fuck around when it comes to ass-clowns like this guy, that purposely cause damage and destruction to the environment.
This biggest laugh is that it was basically his own property, now he has a lovely patch of burnt vegetation and dirt to observe haha.
Everyday it kills me to think that i can't pick something that grows naturally everywhere yet people can call the police on me simply for suspicion....
what is this world coming too

has anyone had a problem with maggots eating their shrooms? went to an amazing spot to pick and got a few hundred on the tallest shrooms ive ever seen, lots were around 20 cm long! howevere, i spread them out to dry and the next day i went to pick one up and it disintergrated in my hand. i had a closer look and found tiny maggots eating them from the inside out. i had to throw away most of them which sucked!

Maggots are commonly found in older mushrooms, if the cap looks extremely black and rotted on the underside is normally a good sign there will be maggots inside. Check the gills b4 drying for maggots and or use a dehydrator to dry out your mushrooms

none of these mushrooms were old, they were all very fresh specimens and definitely no where near the black or rotten stage. i think it may just be the area i was in as ive never had a problem when picking in my usual spots. the little bastards were hiding in the stems aswell! it really sucks because there are so many shrooms at this place, but they are all infected. they were growing in very soft deep mulch, probably 12 inches deep at least, i reckn they must be breeding in the mulch. just wondered if anyone else had heard of this. i wonder if the maggots are off their heads??

yes this happens all the time and not just older specimens have maggots/bugs ive found the freshest young subs and guess what they had bugs lol its a known fact bugs just love the fungi hahaha best way is just to dry them out asap but you'll still probably lose some just part of life realy haha i find this helpfull when hunting, if the caps have a big black circle in the middle they have bugs and also it will be wet on the ones that are drying and i dont mean the little black dot that you get with the drying pattern lol
todays haul, went out for a real quick night hunt with jonstoned found these.
and my gf seen this at coles we shared a laugh

Dudurinos, i shall try to keep this short.
Thanks.
You have taught me about the world of mushrooms, and the affect it has had on my mental illness, my addiction, was a revelation. Such, such an understatement there.
I am sorry for those I offended, it wasn't planned, it was dumb. I hope to meet y'all next season,
as I am now packing my bags, for rehab for opiate addiction. Six months, and I cant wait.
Thanks again guys
