I'm curious about this honey trick too, i'm going to go get some nice fresh honey from the central markets tomorrow and i was wondering what would be a good ratio, lets say i hypothetically had two hundred grams (powdered) would it be better to divide it into two 1kg tubs or a smaller one. I don't want this honey to be like mega potent where one spoon launches you into orbit, but not so weak you need to chug half a tub ful :P

I'm basically trying to work out a ratio for dosages but all the friends that have done it just chucked half-assed dried shrooms in the honey and the water went funky and was no good, others just kinda ate spoonfuls until the spoon transformed haha.

Thats a awesome idea, it'd keep it from oxygen heaps well to, maybe honey would prolong the life of psilocbe crystals?

awww yeah sick, did you grind yours to a powder, or just chuck them in whole or smaller chunks? It'll be nice to just have a spoon of honey in a cup of tea instead of a gut load of fungus haha

Also say i put powder into the honey, would you be able to warm the honey in water and strain the plant material out? resulting in a nice pure blue honey free of pieces? (after months of sitting in the honey) Also how long would this honey be good for, i'd love to bottle it up for years to come hahaha

Nahhhh Psilocin degrades unless it's in a vacuum, i think it was mentioned somewhere earlier, it's incredibly unstable and you need some hardcore time and research to get it right. I'd LOVE to see a successful islation and extraction of psilocin with photos :P

Im with you there on the HBWR's Smokeandtoke. I was looking for alternatives when I gave up alcohol years ago and stumbled apon them. My experience was bad. I fell asleap, woke up spinning an hour later, had to run or stagger outside, threw up and went back to sleap. Yay, not. found the morning glory seeds to be very similar but there was another that started with O. Cant remember the name now. They were a little less nausiating but still not worth it when there are cacti and mushroom trips available. I wont ever go back thats for sure. Just thinking about the taste makes me shiver.

Man, I've found patches that I've think are crazy, but I haven't come across one nearly as concentrated as that. So many individuals in such a small area! Incredible!

I've seen photos of patches similarly concentrated in the VIC thread. It's cool to see patches like that in the SA thread.

Well done

Yeah Mr.F said that few pages back (before all the ballbags started happening lol)
I was just talking about an alcohol based psilocybin extraction, on a thread i was reading the other day, someone (RogerRabbit?) said that if you stop the alcohol evaporation just before it turns to nothing but crystals (im guessing a manageable amount of liquid for even and accurate dosage) becuase oxygen smashes it. Would just be evaporating it to crystals, but then as soon as you have, mixing it into delicious non throat burning smooth honey

Well... I still have a syringe with 20Ml of a solution that may contain some actives... but I doubt it.

jonstoned look for a thread by "C.H. Hell", he wrote up a reasonable tek on how to extract psilcibin into an alcohol solution. I think unless you're an experienced chemist with a good setup i wouldn't try getting crystals, just extract into alcohol and reduce the alcohol to a usable level. So you'd end up with a 50mL ticture where 1mL = 1g of subs.
However even with that... 1mL of this horrible solution will seriously make you gag, if you try and dilute it with cordial or a soft drink it just makes it worse. ugh. I don't know if i'd want to try dosing with that again.

Anyway here are some photos from last week's hunt.. i'm still going through them, not even halfway through editing them :frown:
There are more edited ones i'm not posting now, i'm gonna save them for another day, they're themed pictures. I'm putting together a collection of subs that grow directly from dead wood rather than indirectly from a wood based substrate.
Here's one for ya.

Just some nice wallpaper styled shots here.

well see i dont actualy know ha i was trying to do the sort of same thing with my honey that smokeandtoke attempting to dose it by weighing up the honey and then weigh up the fungus and go from there but i figured i couldnt be bothered but i knew there was roughly 600 in there so just went by the spoon full. On table spoon got me pretty fucked up sort of like if i was to consume 7 fresh. Im going to make some more tubs up tho just coz ive got so many dried that i want to get them stored away and see if i can sell one to a mate or something or keep it for myself haha but more than one tub of honey is more than enough for me nowadays living with my gf and her family now so its a bit harder to sneak some trips in :laugh2:

Feel your pain LOTG, if i want to trip at home got to keep it confined to the shed me and my partner live in :frown: unless i just wait til its late enough not to bother her parents and little bro and 4 dogs, still got to be discrete though.

thats a shame guys, Makes me kind of uncomfortable when I have to keep it quiet when tripping cause I laugh so much. I live alone so I don't have to worry about disturbing anyone accept the neighbours.
I like to just turn all the lights out and put trippy music on while I melt into the couch. haha

:peace:

Lucky Austrip! Me and my missus had a place last year but our housemate did the flick and we couldnt afford to live there :frown: was ballbags! Coming back to confinement blows haha.

Old friend had a empty avery decked in couches facing nothing but trees and scrub when he was living with his rents, was the best 'confined' setting i've been in. Looking through the mesh wrapped around the avery into the scrub looked nuts on a DMT trip, the mesh made the scrub turn kaleidoscopic
