Man, I made a tea with about 12-13 decent sized juicy (kinda oldish) mushrooms once. Just chopped into chunks and boiled for about 10-15 mins in just enough water to cover the mushroom material. I strained the chunks and had just over half the preparation (less than half a cup): At one point that afternoon my couch was eating me and my walls and ceiling were melting - I definitely overshot the level I thought I'd be going to.

The other thing that sturck me about the tea, it was fuckin' revolting! Well, compared with eating the subs fresh anyway (IMO).

thats weird I would of thought a brew would be more palatable then fresh subs. can't stand fresh subs, very hard to get down. what if you brew up good, non-rotting subs, throw in some dry boletus to make it more palatable?

if weighing dry materiel you do it just by grams so you dont need 0.1 weighing scales. Like wise weighing fresh 10grams fresh material = 1 gram dried

Honestly, don't know. My only experience is that one time: I was just kinda experimenting.

I'd try it again: but it'd be just a wee bit painful for me to use a bunch of nice young immaculate specimens that've just opened. I like to save those for the jar (or eat fresh).

I know so many people who can't stand eating the mushrooms fresh - some act as though they're about to vomit . I don't get it, I honestly find the smell / taste quite nice. Ok, admittedly, that has been an acquired taste, never the less I've never had trouble getting the things down.

'massive overdose?'... this shit aint lethal... is it?? ;P The one and only time I have tried this wonderful substance I drank enough tea over a four to six hour period to trip for what must have been at least 20 hours, my dog seemed to turn into a dragon and when i looked into the mirror, I saw horns arising from my forehead and my eyes exiting my eye sockets. The walls were cracking and falling down as well. Can't say I experienced paralysis though! :P

This is my third year hunting, i have never struck success over the last two years but i am hoping that, after the last two years (and scouring this thread for research) I can strike gold and follow you experienced fellows advice and respect the nature. I headed east the other day but only founded ripped out subs that were lying on the ground moudly and ruined, and a few pins that I decided to leave alone, mainly because I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do with them!

Next week an experienced hunter is taking me to a spot that he takes care of and he is going to tutor me in the ways of mushrooms, so I have my fingers crossed that third times the charm!!! I would love to try this again as the last time was a life changing moment for me, it was the perfect definition of a good trip.

Hahaha that's really funny you say that, I've always found tea to be the best, i have mastered it down to the point where there is no flesh in the drink and absoloutely NO taste of fungus :P Now days i add a bit of apple tea, cinnamon and ginger which helps with the stomach (not that tea ever really causes gut problems) and i've got myself a tasty drink that is really enjoyable!

oh man....that sounds like a wild ride, i've been curious about the "spirit molecule" that is DMT.

How do you prepare your honey also, i picked a nice clean batch of shrooms tonight and i wanna preserve them and make me some mean blue honey

So how do you lot measure the dosage so accurate? Surely you don't all have scales that measure in increments of 0.1 grams?

I just want to know how it's done because this weekend I'll be having only my 2nd trip. The first time my mate worked out the quantity for me.

Yeah I have a small pair of digi scales and a larger more precise set, both measure in increments of 0.01 and 0.001. I feel much more safer and it really puts my mind at ease rather than just downing a handful of shrooms, since i got them my experiences have been nothing but really positive

yes, dmt is a very mind blowing experience, major ego-death and constant out of body experiences, it send your into a new realm and dimension. i recommend small dose for a first try. also i prepare my honey using half a jar of honey with probably 50 or so smaller chopped subs in it with glad wrap and a rubber band holding it air-tight. i tend to leave it for a week or two in a dark cool place every now and then stir the honey and push the subs down to the bottom.

yea DMT is insane the dimensions and colors and feelings is just unexplainable you have to try for yaself to get a grip of what its like, realy hard to explain. @lilpinecreature, do you put the subs in fresh coz your only keeping them for a week? also i somehow think that dipping them in tea wouldnt work im more thinking of an alcohol extraction and dipping them in that or extracting the psilocybin and then converting into crystaline form and then somehow go from there but chemistry wasnt my forte lol but let us know how ya go anyway sounds interesting:cool:

Never doubt, imagine and achieve! Is pscilocybin a fragile chemical like LSD?

yeah, i put them in fresh but they will preserve for long period of time considering how much sugars and preservatives are in honey. but its best to leave for a week max for best effect. the extraction idea might work abit better. hopefully i get these bad boys working, if not then oh well. but im sure something would be do-able

ahk see i always thought excess water in the fungus would lead to rotting after a longer period of time, i just dry em out and grind em up to get the psilocybin to release into the honey quicker( and easier to eat) haha always good to stay on the safe side
