Hemimycena sp. Well spotted as they can easily be overlooked at standing height.
Ahh thanks mate, they were a very strange find, i was actually almost three meters up on this log and couldn't really work out what it was until i hung upside down and had a closer look :P

hey guys came across the following on my hunt today and was just after some advice on what they may be?
sorry about the quality, only got my camera phone atm.
as you can see none of the mushrooms spread much over 1cm in diameter, apart from one or two.
most of the stems are are approx 3+cm.
it is hard to tell from the pics but all of the ones shown in the picture have a blue tinge underneath the cap.

Must of been gratifying. I remember when I found my first sub on top of a mountain after a full day's hike - only found two that day.
you only need to find one to have a spot. then you can return to that same area knowing that they grow there.

Thats right, but this particular spot gets raided constantly, be lucky to find many there. My real first find of the season was a single mushroom too, found at work when I wasn't even looking though, so in that case I did find a new spot, will be returning there later on for sure

Non Actives there! You'll find that its not blue at all,its more of a yellow green colour.
The ID could be Hypholoma Fasciculare (Sulphur Tuft) I wouldn't bet on it though.
A 2hr walk today with a sore lower back and to top it off with very little fungus activity. We need to keep in mind that Aut's wet season has really only started, besides the rain during april. Anyway Many of you are doing very well!

hey guys planning a hunt down south this friday to a pine area that i hear good things about. ive only been hunting for the past season really, last year i was only lucky enough to find a couple of spots, but most of these were really only in the foothill areas, not out too far. would it be fair to say that you normally have to travel out a fair bit to find reasonable halls? ive loved every shroom experience that ive had, and theres only been a few of them haha was just wondering if you u reckon it would be fruitful up south this weekend due to the rain? dont wont to waste the trip for nothing!!!
regards
osama

dear osama, yes i have al76 heard good things about that certain spot and have been once only finding a few it al comes down to luck its very rare to see me out in various plantations because i know the hills probly better than alot of you i have way better luck in going local but alot of y6u know the plantations way better than me so you ha8e goodluck out there and keep in mind the season hasn't started yet so in my opinion id just wait a few more weeks to ensure you have much better luck, nothing worse than a Failed5ed hunting trip

Damn man, that sucks hey i actually found about 100 pins probably more i just looked further out than the majority would, I picked only a handful of fresh ones, and will go back once they have fruited
I did notice a fair few different species randomly laying around, as if some magic fingers had ripped them up and chucked them around
I guess it just comes down to luck and hoping your spot doesn't get ripped :S

Dude I'm not having a go, but the way you have ripped those fungi up is so bad, it's almost disrespectful towards the hobby, please please please in the future if you aren't sure on the ID, simply pinch or cut maybe one or two near the base then get an ID on here AKA...NOT ripping the whole base and mycelium bed up along with what was most likely every shroom you saw.
Be nice to your patch, treat it with care and she shall grace you with the fruits!

yeah for sure! I first went there more to have a look at the scenery, as I've never been there before, wasn't too interested in the fruits. I heard there's a cave near there now i'm on the hunt for it haha!

The hills look like they're getting tonnes of action. Definitely going out for a walk tomorrow. Also, I have a feeling I live right next to where you guys are hunting. I can't say for sure because I'm only getting used to the place (Migrant )
Grats guys and happy hunting!
