H2o2 with PF jars?

I was just wondering if it was a good idea to use an H2o2 / water solution when mixing your BRF and VERM for PF jar preparation? If so how much should this be done efficently?

Umm, wouldn't the h202 come in direct contact with the spores then? I don't think that's good. I don't see any real reason to mix a h202/water solution as long as you can find a sterile source of water for mixing the batch.

but if the pc isn't going to kill it, a little
h2o2 prolly ain't going to do much...

It would be a waste of H2O2 since it would disintegrate at cooking.

It wouldnt be a any more a waste of time then cleaning your jars with alcohol would be a waste of time. I am only looking to use it as sort of a back up just in case.

You?re right, as cleaning jars with alcohol before sterilizing indeed is a waste of time and supplies.

a miniature german shepherd told me he always soaks his jars in bleach water for a couple hours then washes em in the sink then pc's em for about 15 mins prior to making jars. Maybe overkill but if a jar has had contams he assures me this will take care of everything. He also claims that the cleaner he keeps hisr enviorment and equipment the les contams he sees.
