Casing after first flush...??

So after all this time (first pins already coming up) I realized I forgot to case my tubs like I usually do and I have a ver poor pinset.
I tried searching for this question but didnt really find any good info at all.
Will this provide for a better pinset on the second flush or what??
Thanks doods

I wouldn't say so. I don't think it will re-knot. I'm pretty sure the majority of your pins are created on the first flush timeline.
so considering you are writing this I assume you had a bad "top side" flush. the idea behind casing is to promote growth on the top so that pins will form there and subsequent flushes as well.
But I wouldn't see a problem with casing after the first flush (the added moisture isn't a bad thing). However I wouldn't expect that to be an instant fix.

Yeah I mean I think over time when all is said and done with this grow I will get a decent yield but I would deff like to improve it if possible. Cant believe I forgot to case the shit lol.
Some people are not big on casing but seeing what happens to my pinset without I dont like the results. I use straight Verm when I case and it works wonders.

I dont case. I let my substrate colonize for about 3 weeks (most people only do 10 days - 2 weeks).
This gives me an amazing pinset with monsters.
casing has only provided me with lots of skinnies... and I like mine big and fat if ya know what I mean
edit: I dont do tubs though

You mean you used a garbage bag for the lining of he tub??
If so thats what I usually do (its supposed to cut down side pinning). How come its not done anymore?? I have one tub with the garbage bag lining and one with the sub straight up in the tub by itself. I ind the garbage thing is the most the absolute worst part of this hobby for me lol.
And no reason to saran wrap the tub. Should be just fine without. After I spawn I let my tubs colonize in the dark by placing a garbage bag over the tubs.

"I let my tubs colonize in the dark by placing a garbage bag over the tubs."
this apparently is old practice and not done anymore. I still line the insides with bags but placing the tub into a garbage bag according to some ppl I spoke with said it's old practice and that the darkness thing is old news too.
They told me to saran wrap the lid down and that light is fine I'll update my thread when it finishes and post results.

Oh right on. I suppose that may be true because I let my jars colonize in light. I guess the main factor to initiate pinning is Fresh air exchange. So I could deff see how just wrapping up the tubs in saran wrap would work just fine.

Instead of casing this tub though I was planning on the wax paper method, just crumble up wax paper and lay it onto the sub so it keeps humidity close to the surface, maybe you should try it out too.

Damn I must be fucking pothead or something Have some wax paper ready to go in my drawer.
I used wax paper on my last grow and it worked really well. Just make sure you change the paper every couple days becuase it will get pretty damp.

From what I understand is that if the was paper gets to damp/wet it can cause contam problems.
