Monotub stagnate water

I have mixed some brf with coir in my monotub. The coir was far too wet I think and now the tub has stalled. I have a small amount of myc that has colonised the coir but only about 20%.
I noticed a pool of water under the black bag which I drilled a hole at bottom of tub and drained. The water had a foul smell as it's been sitting there for over a week. Does this mean that the tub is contaminated or could it just be smell of stagnant water.
Can't see any visible signs of contam, myc that has poked through looks healthy but hasn't colonised any more for over a week.

doesn't sound good bro, a foul smell is often a sign of contamination and if your coir was too wet like you think it was, the water would have pooled at the bottom and created perfect conditions for bacteria to grow so i wouldn't be surprised if theirs an unseen contam in your tub.
I wouldn't go digging just yet though if it is contaminated it will raise its head to the surface before long

you shouldn't of adde brf to your mix...that has to be sterilized, where coir and other substrates need pasteurizng.

Well if the bag was between the casing then you might be fine. But the fact that the tub has stalled tells me you're contamed. The myc is fighting for substrate space. Why did you wanna do BRF to coir? Try grains bud

Thanks for the replies guys. I am going to be moving onto grains but wanted to use up my brf on this run. I've successfully done brf to coir in a mono last time round but this run ain't looking to good.
Can anyone point me too a good coir mixing tek as I don't want the same problem again ?

Great, thanks for the link dr.
Think I'll just cut my losses and move onto grain. When emptying a suspected contaminated mono, is it best to open outside, dump bag and throw a load of bleach in the mono outside too ?

I just give my tubs a good wash with dish soap and water. When I get ready to fill them again I spray with alcohol first and let them sit with the lid on while my Coir dose its thing.
