Fly Agarics

Do you actually trip of this stuff? I purchased 15 grams from a smoke shop and ate all of it and did not trip at all. I mean I at times felt like I was out of it, but no visuals whatsoever and and any odd vibes whatsoever were gone within 2 hours. I looked it up on erowid and I feel like I should've experienced more since I took a "strong dose"
Anyone else experience the same bullshit or are there other ways to consume it that would aid in actually tripping?

be careful with amanita's bro, you can die. Do more research, google magic ftw. as for a smoke shop selling mushrooms, that is a little wild that they would sell amanitas, maybe the owner is a mycologist of sorts :p idk anything about consuming them though so i cant give you any advice.

No you won't "trip". Amanita muscaria is a medicine, not a psychedelic.

it's "google magic ftw", as in "google's magic is awesome".

I don't see any way it could be used as a medicine. And it certainly is not a psychedelic, but has got hallucinogen-like effects.
edit: just read about the effects, looks like a deliriant to me

well this shit blows. I remember doing research on actual magic mushrooms and I'm certain they don't grow in jersey. In fact I think the only place they naturally grow in the states that I remember was florida? am I correct?

It is a nerve tonic, mild doses heal your brain physically, and release and "defragment" your subconsciousness. You'll never see it sold in pharmacies, that's for sure. Technically muscimol is an 'agonist of the GABA receptor'. The psychoactive side effects I usually feel are similar to alcohol, but more relaxed, with extremely detailed, vivid and complex dreams.

No. Psilocybin mushrooms grow all over USA. Several species can be found in Jersey. Main site has a list of what species grow where. I wouldn't recommend searching for them tough, no offense but it seems to me like your attitude and knowledge about mushrooms at the moment might get you poisoned.

I've done shrooms before, I wouldn't just take 15 grams of magic mushrooms like I did fly agarics. I assumed since it was legal one could consume all of it, I wouldn't have the same perception going into magic mushrooms and besides I eventually have to start somewhere. How do you access the main site?

I was thinking more in the lines of you wanting to trip and unknowingly eating something unpleasant. To an untrained eye all mushrooms look similar. Main site is just www.shroomery.org , there is a section about finding mushrooms. You can do some research about Panaeolus cinctulus and Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata , they will probably be in season in the next month or two.

Thanks a bunch, that was actually going to be my next question.
Is it possible for any magic mushrooms to be out there at the moment?

Also say I locate the magic mushrooms do you have to prepare them in a specific manner prior to consumption?

Maybe. Those two I listed will start any moment now, if the weather is warm enough, and there's enough rain, you can start looking. You start reaserching about them, learn the appearance, habitat, destinguishing features and lookalikes, and just when you learn enough it'll be time to go out and look. But remember never to eat anything you're not 100% sure what is. Always post your finds in the Mushroom hunting section of the site before you consider eating them.

Yea I'll def do that, but say I actually found the right mushrooms can you eat them the way you found them or do you have cook them or something? The only time I did shrooms they were given to me by someone I trust so I'm not sure if they went through any prior preparation.

You can dry them or eat them fresh, you can also make tea, smoothie, chocolates etc etc, it's up to you really. But it's not necessary.

No problem. But be smart, don't go around eating every random mushroom you find.
