Music/Computer question.

When i download my music and it goes into it's stored area. It will read as .. say just the album name. I decided i didn't like the way it looked and added "Artist - Album".
Now it's messed. The few albums i fixed cannot be played in Itunes now. Says i need to locate them. I can do this and add them back into Itunes 1 by 1 but the last song on the album that I Re-add erases the first song of the next Artist/Album(in Itunes).
Do you know of a quick fix for this screwy situation?

Don't use iTunes?
I know that's a lame answer, but this is exactly the sort of cr*p that prevents my from becoming an iTunes fan. But maybe this may help: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/the-itunesgodfather-from-organized-crime-to-organized-music-windows/

find all ur music and put it into a single file, name the file Music and put it on ur desktop. Itunes will find all the song in that folder. If you want to replace all the broken links that itunes has right now just delete all ur music out of itunes (dont worry there's a selection to just delete it from itunes and not from ur whole computer). When u delete all those files, just drag ur new music folder into itunes and it'll copy all of it.
I dont get how it changes the names of ur music though...
When you change the names of ur songs, itunes will no longer play from its playlist, because it's looking for the previous name of the song, not the new one. Itunes will probably add the 'new' music file into its library automatically.

If you rename the folders the files are in, iTunes isn't looking for the changed folder. It's looking for the folder you told it the music was in originally. So if you renamed the folder, you need to re-add that music.
If all your music is in one big folder, you might just delete your iTunes music library (do NOT move items to the recycle bin) and just re-add that one main folder after you've renamed all the folders you want
Me personally, I have my Music folder, and each artist has it's own folder under there, and then the album folders are inside the artist folders. It helps to be organized.

How did you get songs in to itunes in the first place, presuming you didn't pay for them?
They should be in folders already...

What im trying to do is get everything out of my itunes so i can delete it (and organize my music) and then re-download itunes cause its kinda buggy right now.
When i'm syncing new songs with "sharepod" into my Ipod it acts like it's all working but once i go through my Ipod.. It didnt sync at all.

Why don't you burn your music onto CD-Rs?

I may be mistaken, but I don't think you can transfer files from itunes to desktop. Just like you can't transfer the actual song from an ipod to desktop.
And I'm also pretty sure deleting songs from itunes doesn't delete the actual song file from your hard drive. So you can just delete the songs from itunes and then delete itunes because they'll still be on your computer somewhere.
Find all the songs your talking about on your hard drive, and like said above, transfer them all to another folder on your desktop called music or something so you know where they all are. Then when you reinstall itunes, just have it sync to that folder, or you can manually drag and drop the songs from that folder into itunes library, which is what I do. I find when itunes auto syncs to everything it seriously fucks up, so I have it set so I have to manually add songs to library and ipod.
