Salvia divinorium is always a little unhappy. It's a whiny little bitch if you ask me.
Pics would be helpful for an ID.

Yes, it looks plenty healthy to make a recovery. Keep a close eye on it, though.

In fact I do live in the United States, So that would be awesome.
I plan on looking around this summer at some festivals to see if anyone has any live clippings and is willing to put them up for a trade.
Me and my few friends aren't that big into smoking Salvia,( I've only smoked it twice, once 20x and another 50x. )I want to try Salvia again, badly but not on a bed in some suburbs, more like sitting beneath a tree, over looking a lake or river. One at a time ripping our brains out into the cosmos.

We think it is a real shame that it is illegal and very hard to cultivate naturally( Impossible If I am correct ); So I personally would love to keep this unique and special plant around for future generations.

That's a tiny little thing. I hope you didn't pay too much for it?
Don't listen to these jokers( no offense guys), Salvia is easy as hell to keep as a potted plant. A little sunlight window, waterings when you it gets dry, and plain potting soil will serve you just fine. But all that applies when it's more mature, while it's young you just gotta keep a closer eye on it.

Honestly not trying to start anything, but you called us all jokers, and I said the same thing(in a tl;dr style).

Ah, I meant the guys who said salvia was a whiny little bitch. My experience with her has been the opposite, to me she seems like a real trooper.

It's definitely correct on the ID. Sometimes you will get hairs on the leaves. But that is a pretty poor specimen for a vendor to have given you. It seems like the mother plant may have been lacking on light and airflow. Plants kept in a humidity tent for a long time tend to give that thinner leaf type. And is that unrooted? They tend to fail sometimes when they are scraggly and thin like that. You're going to have to give it some attention.

If it's unrooted you should pinch off the large leaves to make rooting easier. There are roots yet, so why would you want the leaf consuming what little energy the cutting has?
Also, how are you rooting it: plain soil? Perlite? Water? Etc. Your method could have something to do with the dry stem.

I've personally always had success with rooting it in plain water, makes it much easier to prevent the cut stem from drying out. But whatever works for you man.
