Cut Green Off Cake & Still Fruit?

So i had a brf cake that had green mold contam by the top dry layer of verm and in the top of the cake a little..I tapped the cake out and cut off most of the entire top/green part with a sharp knife and i dunked for around 30hours(accidently forgot)...and this morning i took the cake out the dunk and there was real dark bluing where i cut the green off and at first i thought it was the green but its blue bruising im pretty sure.
So i rinsed the cake off under cold water real good and put into my own little mini "contamination FC" in my kitchen i made from a big V8 bottle with perlite in the bottom and i drilled 1/4" holes in all sides just like a normal SGFC and i also cut the top off in a fashion where i can open and close it when i want to mist/fan.

I wouldn't have tried this if my kitchen wasn't already infested with green mold spores.
Lets see how this goes

my first harvest of shrooms was off a contaminated cake.
i was being nooby and checkin out my jars way too often, and when i was checkin em out one of them tipped over (as i had set it down on an uneven surface) and that one jar got contaminated.
they were almost half colonized, and i figured that since that one jar was essentially ruined i would just go ahead and cut out the contaminate and put it in a ghetto chamber, which just so happened to be literally what you have your cake in.
it fruited, and i got what i would estimate to be about half an eighth off the little chunk of cake, and then after the one harvest it showed signs of contamination again so i threw it out.

those be the shrooms from the little chunk of cake.

Well firstly make sure its actually green mold before you toss it out,...it might be blue bruising. Green mold will be growing "on top" of the mycelium in a powdery type of look and will spread with time and blue bruising is more the mycelium turning blue/green itself from damage or drying out and a lot of the time it repairs itself.
The cake i posted about in this thread is currently sitting outside in a compost pile of Hpoo, grass, and old spent cakes. I forgot about it and no shrooms really grew so i just put it sit outside. The green didnt come back but i still threw it out. I got 2x more cakes colonizing right now and a spore print to make many spore syringes from so it doesnt matter.
I'd say toss your cake...any contam just toss. I was just being a noob when i posted this thread. The last thing you want is green mold spores to invade your grow area.

Has anyone had success with attempting to save a jar? Mine is pretty much ready to be birthed, but got a wee bit of green on the top layer of verm just the other day.
