I think I will take it around 4AM. Then I will be tripping as the sun comes up
This is so exciting. I have been searching for years, and always just find it but never actually do.

None of my psychedelic trips have been toys for my amusement. They have all been deep learning experiences, in which I gather information from. A lot of them have been extremely hard. Every trip I find has some hard moments. But those hard moments have been some of the most rewarding experiences. I always do them alone because that is how I can reap the best rewards from it - with people I find you cannot go nearly as deep.
The set and setting are always in tune (as best they can be), and I always fast and meditate before taking the compound. I think that music really helps you get to certain places with psychedelics so I always make 3 to 4 hour sets of music, carefully tailored to the different emotions I want to feel during the experience and those that I think will help me most.
After the experience I always sit and think back over what I learned, meditating on the experience.
That being said, I am extremely excited to try LSD. From what I have been told / read it is much easier for creativity to flow on lsd than on mushrooms. I usually find that it is too hard to create songs and concepts on mushrooms - the information is flowing way to fast.

that's what i'm trying to point out -- if you revise your conceptual models through reading material of those who have already transversed these particular experiences rather than trying to reinvent the wheel, your trips will be a lot smoother and less confusing. not only that, your chances of becoming a spunion will be less likely if you choose the work of beings who were fairly anchored in sustainable conceptual models of reality. for instance, the buddha and buddhist philosophy holds up fine under the psychedelic experience; same with krishna and the philosophy found within the gita. rinse and repeat, results will vary ;]
Yeah I am not disagreeing with you - I just wanted to make it clear that its not just something to "get fucked up on". Other drugs are for that.

I think this whole movement relating to "you gotta read these peoples experiences or you're not doing it right" is bullshit. I say take LSD as innocently and open minded as possible, don't let a bunch of dorks tell you how you're supposed to feel or interpret it. All you need to know is that you most likely won't die, and it will last a couple hours

I agree with this. In my opinion its better to experience things for yourself, because that is part of the magic. However its also good to read literature as long as you use it as a reference to further your mind, not use it as an end-all to shape how your experiences will be.
Everyone is different and everyone experiences things differently. Books and literature are good to expand your minds, but not to use as a end all.
Also, all the reading up I did before I tried mushrooms did not prepare me at ALL for what I would experience, and arguably, made my first trip worse because I expected certain stuff. Once I learned to start experiencing the trip for myself, I found I was able to draw much deeper from it.
