Hey peeps. So dumbfounded1600 had made this awesome post with all of RR's notes on mushroom cultivation. I loved that thread and would look for most of my info there as it was very useful to learn from. I wanted to keep using it since it would answer almost all my questions by a pro. This is useful for any noob grower, intermediate or even the more experienced growers.
It was troublesome scrolling through the whole thread to look for something specific, until I remembered the awesome power of PDF text search. So I copied all of it down on word then saved it in PDF format so I could easily search for a specific subject such as "cloning", "casing", "greenhouse",etc.
You can save the PDF on your computer so anytime you wanna search something by RR just open it using Adobe Reader and type in the search bar 1 word preferably and use the right arrow to scroll the texts for that subject.
Edit: you can actually type 2 words as well such as "coco coir" and "horse manure", but keep a minimum of words when searching because sometimes it doesn't work if you type words mixed up. You can see for yourself. Words have to be in the order that RR typed it up.
Keep in mind this thread was made 2 years ago. Not sure if anyone has done this before but here it is just in case. Also, some info in the thread is old but most of it is still really good info. Just read the whole subject so you can determine which info is most current.
Thanks again to RR and dumbfounded1600 for their efforts.

Or just use the powerful search function here. Type in a subject then underneath that type in RogerRabbit for the search name.....boom!!! Thats what I do....

You can do as you please. This does not involve internet once downloaded though. If you are like me who likes to read about this at work with no internet access on a laptop or flash drive then . Lol or whatever. Anyone can read this info at work without accessing shroomery. I find it faster than opening different threads at a time.
Hope its useful to many

Love the idea.
Quick side note- most modern browsers will let you search a webpage, just like searching a PDF. And of course you can select 'work offline' and pull a previously-viewed page up from your history without connecting to the net.
But this is slick.

I think we should collaborate on a custom one-a-day calendar with some of this content... you could just slowly accumulate RR's wisdom every morning, 365-days a year.
Imagine...

There will be no live bacteria in the metabolites. They're acids and often ethylene based to kill bacteria and are produced in response to it. There may be bacteria in the grains, but not in the metabolites. That's why grain jars should be used at full colonization, not weeks later. The metabolites are the myceliums defense mechanism. I've used the metabolites from Hypsizygus ulmarium to kill bacteria and trichoderma on a petri dish.

LOL! thats a neat idea. "So Sayeth the Rabbit. Amen." (LMAO) There may be more info there than it could fit in a calendar. Its years worth of info.
Also, I was actually thinking about gathering info from the time the thread was made til now so its fuller and more current PDF. But that would take a lot of time. Im usually busy. If anyone wants to accumulate the most current I can add them to the pdf so its a spring 2011 version . Perhaps if I have time I can do so unless someone volunteers....anyone? lol.

No problem!
Thank dumbfounded1600 for putting it together in a thread. I just transferred it to PDF format so we can all save it and use the search.
