I am considering the benefits of taking mdma and lsd or some other good combo as I die. Let's just stay away from arguments concerning the feasibility of planning this.

You don't want to experience death as it takes you over? I hear it is actually pretty peaceful in the ending moments. Then again, there aren't many first hand reports out there.
Contemplate this though.. What if you had a bad trip?

absolutely but I got a feeling just dying, unless in extreme pain will be trippy all by itself. I know a man right now that has cancer bad. He said now that he knows he's going to die he feels like he's on peyote all the time.

Ya, this question is extremely tough. Maybe I will just have a shot of some benzos and opiates on hand in case I feel the need.

I would definitely treat for pain. However if the pain is bad treating for it will basically make you a vegetable and you'll miss the show. In that case I think a tank of Helium will make short work of the process and better luck next time. (not that I believe in a next time )

Yeah I don't know, I kinda think that by the time your dying everything will probably seem pretty pointless and you likely won't bebothered to go out high. But then there's always the off chance the secrets of the universe will be revealed to you before departure.

Heath Ledger and Michael Jackson and John Belushi were on drugs when they died. I am sure it was super spiritual.

When did I say I was trying to make it "spiritual"?

unless in extreme pain
Pain relief is the only drugs I would consider using, while dying.
Of course, If I am forced to live in a nursing home for a few months to a year while I slowly pass on, I can't say I would turn down any drugs of psychedelics offered to me,
But for those last moments on earth, I want to see the end, and experience every last second of it taking me back into the emptiness. Sober.

+1 for huxley.
I'd love to eat a nice dose of LSD on my death bed.
I don't think Ledger, Jackson, or Belushi really count. Those were accidental overdoses..

How is putting something in your body purposely, an accident?

The intention was to get high, not die (though, who knows?). They miscalculated their dosages.

In that picture of Huxley, I did some measurements and the proportions are not remotely human. I am thinking: a Grey with glasses, rubber skin and a hair piece to pass as a human. Notice how the ears are too far back and 'stuck on' and don't get me started on the neck.

In one of his biographies, descriptions of his physicality as a young man include terms like 'a weed', 'an insect', and one friend said the gap in their heights felt like a zoological difference.
You think he may be something like

If we are still talking about doing drugs as you die, I think it would be great if you could access your fave drug and dose at your fave dose since dying is part of living, and you probably should die the way you like to live. for me that would be spiked a bit to quite a bit but not way too much. it would be nice

Though keep in mind, as they say 'you only live once', one will likely only die once as well.
