I say NorCal because they have no souls and I don't feel like I'm offending anybody
but I don't really say SoCal ever, it reminds me of the whole 'bro' facade. southern california sounds much more relaxed.
californians are strange creatures
i can always tell if someone's from there or not.

People outside of "Cali" don't understand that there's a very significant difference between norcal and socal.
Also, only people who live within "Cali" understand that the word "Cali" is demeaning in how lame it is for describing the place where you live.

yeah... have you met anyone from the Central Coast? mannnnnn it's so fucking weird. they're like a strange little mix between SoCal and NorCal. their culture is somewhat mutually intelligible to both the LA scene and SF scene. kinda funny actually because they tend to say 'hella' a lot.

HAHAHA
that last part cracked me the hell up I'm sorry, so true.
i think the bro thing is dying down heavily, but in high school it was like.. EVERYBODY!
no fuck you I don't ride dirt bikes or take xanax.
i know this one bro-hoey chick at work, she has huge tits and the best ass i've ever seen on a white girl, but she drives a gigantic truck and is mildly retarded. but she's fucking fine as hell.

if norcal people have no soul
"central coast" people aren't even human

it's bitter ain't it?
that whole hella thing just makes me laugh. norcal dorks and people outside of california who think it's cool, are the only ones who say it. like i said, i can tell if someone's from outside of california, and if they're from california, i can most likely tell which part.

Its funny, i have lived in California all my life and the only time I refer to it as "cali" is when i am talking to someone who is out of state. when I was younger I used to be proud of the norcal and wearing my norcal shirts and hats, now it doesn't matter. we are still part of the same state and laws for the most part. But I say the north has better meds

I think the only reason the term "cali" came into existence is because while in state residents have a need to distinguish between north and south, out of staters don't, so they just say cali as an abbreviation for california.

Haha....
I was born and raised on the central coast. In and around Santa Barbara area to be specific, which I don't consider to be quite "socal", anything south past Ventura qualifies IMO. But when I was 16 my family moved northward to the shit hole that is the central valley....Other than the central valley I do think "norcal > socal". Though after a recent road trip back to my "home", which is the rural area just north of Santa Barbara, fuck I miss that place....The land, the beaches, the chillness, I so want to move back ASAP.
I still dig northern California (And SF) over southern California (and LA), I think I was just hit with a wave of nostalgia and wanting a change of pace while I was down there. I miss the beach bum life style....Only thing that's really holding me back from moving back down there is the fact I don't have any friends that live there. I'm a rather solitary sorta dude as it is, but I need some social interaction.
But yea, so-cal and nor-cal are most definitely two different entities.
