FISH TANK Fruiting Chamber: Effective or not?

I know that everyone suggests using a shotgun fruiting chamber, however I must make do with what I have. The following is a description of my fruiting chamber:
I have a 10 gallon fish tank with 2 15w lights in the lid (as well as 3 flaps for air exchange). Lining the bottom is 2" of perlite. Underneath the perlite are (2) 12 inch bubble sticks that are connected to a WalMart airpump. I filled the bottom of the tank (about 1") a hydrogen peroxide and water mixture. The water mixture just barely covered the tops of the bubble sticks so that it would create bubbles (which are under the perlite).
My cakes are set in small tupperwares and jar lids on top of the perlite. They get fanned about 4 times daily and recieve about 12 hours on/off of light daily
Is this setup effective? If not, what can I change to make it more functional, without having to do a shotgun fruiting chamber method

I know you said not to go the shotgun method but that is the easiest way to get adequate fresh air

That setup will work, but will require a lot more fanning than a standard Shotgun.

Just drill some holes. Get a glass drill bit ($10-15), tape the surface with masking or painters tape and drill some 1/2" holes. I say 1/2" in case you want to do a monotub later. Glass is highly recommend. It's cleaner and more transparent.
