audobon has a good one so is mushrooms demystified at least thats what i hear i havent had the money to buy one yet but id get demystified first. peace

All I'm going to say is "MUSHROOMS DEMYSTIFIED" By David Arora... He is so seksi! :laugh:

Seriously, I love this book. I literally read it everyday. Its about 1,000 pages on just everything you wanted to know about mushrooms, mycology and hunting...

I give it +100 shrooms :laugh:

You will not be disappointed.

As the others said, Mushrooms Demystified, by David Arora is practically a bible. It's primary focus is on California, but it's an excellent reference anywhere in North America.

Your profile says you're from Canada. If that means anywhere from Manitoba or east of there you should also consider Mushrooms of Northeastern North America, by Alan E Bessette, Arleen R Bessette, and David W Fischer.

Those are probably the 2 best for most people in North America who don't have an unlimited budget.
