help me understand what these are?

Habitat: Northern Ca I found these growing in my grandmas yard, they were growing in soil not grass, there was a cluster attached to a live geranium plant and some large clusters growing in between the wall of the area and the soil (difficult to explain but its kind of like a giant flower bed around the whole house)
Gills: darkish brown, slimy, attached to stem
Stem: about 2 inches in length, white, hollow
Cap: fairly large, wavy cap about 2-3 inches in diameter, umbonate, orange-ish in the center, and dramatically fades into a gray/brown color that looks rather grainy in appearance, the cap is moderately viscid and a dark inky liquid was also observed
Spore print color: so far im getting dark brown with a hint of purple, I will be updating this section
Bruising: stem bruises a light brown/orange
Snails certainly enjoy them. They have a distinctive odor, smells a bit latex-y...im having trouble describing the scent...
here is one photo, more coming in a few minutes

I live in a rural area right now and I doubt there is a mushroom club in existence near me. So who wants to hang out and find some shrooms?

Nobody's making a big deal out of anything, he's just telling you that your asking for hunting partners is breaking the rules of this forum. You won't find anybody here that'll show you where to find magic mushrooms. You'll have to figure that out on your own.

Unless you do some ass kissing I doubt people will take you out to show you their hunting grounds but then again you are a 'girl'.
I suggest reading everything and learn from others. With enough time and homework, you could go pick on your own quite confidently. The only thing you're lacking is knowledge.

its funny...I am new to forums in general, but I came on here today to see if anyone took a stab at the species of psathyrella but of course everyone would rather go on and on and on about some irrelevant statement. I dont need help finding mushrooms. I happen to be interested in every mushroom I see and I think it would be nice to someday enjoy the experience with people who appreciate all mushrooms like I do. I DO NOT NEED HELP FINDING ANYTHING AND IM NOT ON YOUR PRECIOUS LITTLE FORUM FOR THE SAME REASON MANY PEOPLE ARE. I know what grows in my area and the habitats to find them in. Again, I simply would like to someday know people who like to know about all mushrooms. I would never come on here and ask for someone to show me a spot. I dont need to trip out as desperately as others do. Im interested in knowing the species of all the mushrooms I find. So why dont you talk about the species of the damn mushroom I posted. You all get that?

And I can honestly say im not "lacking" anything. Maybe you've studied mushrooms longer but I know enough to find them and guess the genus lol. Which im a little proud of I did not say "who wants to hang out and show me where the shrooms are?" and I dont care about trippin, I mean I like it of course, but im here for mushrooms and learning and I dont need some random person online telling me im lacking knowledge. Im constantly learning everyday, so fuck off if you are going to go around telling people what they lack.

You're very defensive and you make a lot of assumptions about the people on this board. The hunting forum is (I believe anyways) moderated better than any forum on the shroomery. You got all worked up because someone pointed out the rules to you, which you obviously either didn't read or don't give a shit about, and then you cry about it. The rules are in place for a reason, which is to protect the community. Why should an exception be made. The rule has nothing to do with what kind of mushrooms you want to hunt.
If you stick around for a bit you'll find that the hunting and identification is full of nice people who help each other out and get along very well.
Just sayin', you're not special and you should follow the rules like everyone else.
Oh, and welcome to the shroomery

I do give a shit about the rules! I made a statement without any real intentions...but the last thing I want people to assume about me is that I want people to help me find active mushrooms. And im only here to learn about all the random mushrooms I find. I really am happy to finally be a member because I have learned so much here before I was a member. I look up to many of you and I was defensive because a few people said that I was trying to get someone to show me a spot because im a girl or whatever and that is 100% not the case. Please understand where im coming from, im very serious about understanding all kinds of mushroom. Thank you everyone responding and if you recognize the mushroom I posted, let me know.
