Just make sure you put the needle on before you walk through the metal detector at court. Oh, and make sure to label it as heroin.

No don't do that. Your charges aren't even that bad. And even if they were, the right thing to do is to sit in jail and write books, etc.
If you were to do that there would be hundreds of people on this site and in real life who would be sad and depressed. Some of them would never get over it.

it would be a stand for the war on drugs and what its doing to its casualties it would be a statement to all that this is costing lives not saving them im fed up with this country and its values

The war on drugs already costs too many lives, you don't need to add to that by injecting poison.
People would see this on the news and think "Damn those drugs are clearly bad, they really mess with peoples heads. Good thing they are sending the dealers to prison."
If you want to make a statement that the drug war is counterproductive, make that statement. Join existing drug reform groups and start your own local one. Organize protests, mailing lists and have conversations with people who also want to fight the war on drugs. Start a lucrative business and use the profits for drug law reform.
If you don't know how to start a business, you could just get a job, live inexpensively and donate a sizable percentage of your paycheck to changing peoples attitudes towards drugs.
You can not fight against the war on drugs if you check out early.

then im a coward in someons eyes. i wont give a minute more of my time in this life to this war. all i wanted to know was if the syringe would get picked up from a metal detector. didnt think it would, i guess it doesnt matter though it could be used at any time within an instant. let the thing go off.

wtf is this about.
It will get picked up... The needle is metal.
Why in the world would you take a needle to the courthouse let alone a syringe of any type?
Finished reading the thread... If you are facing life, just flee... If it is a siezure of property thing it is easy to make the money back legally....
Examine your options first. It is stressful, I know, any legal stuff is.

regardless of all that, if they do restrain or search you and find it, things might get worse with your jail time. They could consider it a dangerous weapon you intended to use on someone else. Or maybe you can explain your plan to them and they'll put you in a mental facility instead of prison, though I doubt it.
dont die. you only got one life, and im assuming at least 60 years left. whatever time you spend in jail will be dwarfed by what you can do with the rest of your time outside of it afterwards.

Martyrs can be useful for a political movement but in this case they'd probably just construe it as a suicide caused by mental disorders brought on by the use of drugs i.e. drugs = bad, like they always do.
