Anyone else get as pissed off as I do whenever I hear this phrase? People use it alll the time, even seemingly well educated in the matter...

People who don't know the difference between a declarative statement and a question are even more irritating.

Was that a question?

To answer your question: Yes, somewhere, someone does.
Can we close the thread now?

And my job is to be up on a high horse. Drugs and alcohol are all bad!

I agree with your initial statement. Alcohol cannot be a drug for people so they can continue with the fantasy that they are not fucking junkies whose drug of choice is one of the most dangerous and fruitless drugs to have as a habit. Human fail. As usual.

Yep, and pointing it out always seems to lead to the fact that it's not drugs they're all up uppity about it's illegal drugs they don't do. Followed by the usual smug self-righteousness of being a good little sheep. Heaven forbid you think for yourself.

I love when people say "I don't do drugs....just alcohol."
It gives me a reason to make them look like a retard. I have been drinking booze pretty much daily for years now, and I know I'm a junky.
My drug is just cheaper and more available than most

I've always been a little annoyed at that, too. Drugs just have a conditioned negative connotation in people's minds. Alcohol is perfectly normal and acceptable and drugs are anti-social and dirty.

Don't blame you one bit. Higher powers just seem to get in my way.
