Well during a rousing game of scrabble I managed to form this paragraph out of my letters for about 8 million points, I spelled out the pictures too. Dont ask how but I did. It went as follows.

"My first flush is ready and my god there beautiful. It's a simple PF Tek Brown Rice setup. Month and a week at 70 degrees then birthed prematurely. Allowed to colonize in terrium for a week, then cut in half. Fruited a week afterwards and were mature in three. Thanks for all the help guys and sorry for the crappy picture."

Now i'm not saying that i agree with the hype of cutting cutting a cake in half to get a greater yield. But lets assume that i grant the supports of cuttings cakes in half.

Why would you lay them on the side in which their cut? That covers that area, thus leaving you with the same surface area that you had if you were to leave the cake intact. I'm referring to the ones in the lower left as those are the only ones that i can discern to be laid this way.

Very good point. It really does defeat the purpose. Only reason I cut the cakes was to see if I had full colinzation. Lesson learned. Thanks for pointing that out.

Oh, if you cut them in half for that reason then it's somewhat different. I'll add it's also a good way to check for contaminants that you don't see on the outer edge of the jar.
