My first cubensis grow, Help!

Alright, so this being my first grow i wanted to do something simple yet rewarding and worth my time. So this almost automatically cancelled out pf-tek in my book. Yeilds look pretty weak. Also, i have no vermiculite on hand. Anyways, i was thinking of doing popcorn tek. Then once colonized, spawn that to sterilized horse poo, let it recolonize again then case it with something simple like a 50/50 of horse poo and cactus soil. From what i've read and whatnot this looks much better than pf-tek. Not to mention, theres a horse pasture in my backyard. Fresh and aged manure for dayss. Anyways, i have a couple questions. If i do popcorn tek, will i have to pc my jars, (dont have a pc) or can i get away with just boiling them? And as for as the manure goes, ill throw it in something like a pillow case then boil/ or microwave it. Something.
I'll be loosly following these links for reference.

Also, im growing b+ and? or i have another recource for spores if ralph falls though. (hes lookin pretty legit though). Alright, tell me what you guys are thinkin' ANY any tips, comments, or critisism is welcome!

pasteurize your poo, dont sterilize it
your going to want to PC your jars.. altho i guess boiling them could POSSIBLY work, if you have to try to sterilize without a PC use the stam method

Why popcorn? Just 'cause it's easy to find? Not criticising just wondering, I prefer rye grain every time.
I think it may be hard to maintain correct moisture levels if boiling popcorn/grain jars for 90mins, you may find they dry out but it may be ok.
A pressure cooker is a really worthwhile investment. Unfortunately most people would maybe recommend PF if you don't have a cooker. You know you can crumble PF cakes>bulk sub, right? I think this might be your best bet if this is your first time with bulks.
Remember to soak/leech fresh manure, don't want all that ammonia etc in there (it's often covered in piss...).

Pretty much haha, i mean pc'ing is pretty critical for grains then going with pf-tek would save me alott of hassle, plus its alot more forgiving for newbs. Yeah, true that. Theres tons of aged and fresh horse manure at my disposal, perhaps i slowly work my way up as far my my methods go with bulk. Thanks for the help

No worries, keep us updated with your successes/failures (learning experinces we call them...)
How warm is it where you live? climate type etc... You could always throw some spores in the pasture if there's manure everywhere...

Relax man, it's not personal. Some of these guys answer questions all day every day and have to let out their aggression! They start feeling like broken records and are sometimes a little blunt. There are a lot of people who come here, through no fault of their own, with poor or outdated information.
They are all good peeps though, even Doc, who can be less than polite on occasion.

Alright, so pf tek it is. As soon as i get my syringes im goin to set up a little grow thread. As far as misting and fanning goes, wouldnt it be easier to set something up with pc fans? I read that moisture build up/dew on the cakes is a big pin trigger? And, with pf-tek should i even bother boiling the jars? Or is this simply going to dry my cakes out?

Yeah the point is that PF jars will do fine with boiling, larger grain jars are more tricky and require a PC.
Evaporation is a key pinning trigger, so you should fan after misting, though not immediately.
If you can hook up a PC fan on a timer that should work, you may want some filtration system on there though, they tend to gather dust/mould spores etc on the housing and then blow them in. I would think even tights/pantyhose would work ok. Know that won't stop all spores etc but will stop lumps dust and debris from settling on your cakes.

No popcorn. By which I mean, choose a grain other than popcorn.
No microwave. By which I mean choose another method of sterilization than your microwave.
No mycotopia. By which I mean choose a repository of knowledge other than mycotopia.
Now, anything at all would be an improvement over what you've proposed (and that's why I say "no mycotopia") but in my opinion rye spawned to coir is where you want to be. You'll need a pressure cooker and some other items. If you're over 18 and don't live with parents, it should be no problem.

Yeah no doubt, i've noticed this on my growbox. I have a few more quick questions, what triggers fruiting? Humidity/light correct? And as far as brf goes, are there any subs i can use for this? Simply just throw some brown rice in the coffee grinder and get it to a powder consistancy?

Man's best friend, the coffee grinder. My favourite electrical item.
Any bulk sub will work, coir tends to be the easiest from what I've read, I'm a manure man though. I do about 60-40 manure to verm with gypsum and sometimes coffee grounds.
Pinning/fruiting triggers are increased FAE, humidity and evaporation. Plus the obligatory light.

Got my syringes in the mail today, very very stoked on that. B+ and Australian. So far i have 2 half pint reg mouth jar and my flower chamber. Tomorrow im gonna get my verm (Should i go to ace or the hydro shop?) and start putting everything together. Im gonna inculate them in a sock drawer, this sound good? Also, would you guys suggest going with a dry verm layer with no coffee filter, or a coffee filter and no verm layer? What strain should i start with first? i was thinking b+, but its a slow colonizer. This doesn't really bother me though. And is there anything i can substitute for brown rice flower? I guess i could always take a trip to the supermarket after i get the vermiculite. Cheers folks.
