So on initial mycelium growth it is damaging, but later during strong growth and spawn it helps?

I feel there a lot of unidentified factors playing part here. I think species and strain will make a huge difference and generalizations can not so easily be made.

a cube is a cube.. (except for PE).. kinda..

its not like cannabis where light during a certain cycle will fuck them up..

from the minute you inject the spores, until you harvest your flush light plays a factor in mycelium colonization and development..

The 'total darkness during colonization' thing is a mistake from the past that still gets repeated, years after it was disproved.  Low level ambient light will actually speed up colonization.  Light only becomes a pinning trigger when other, more critical conditions have been met.
