so i want to rehydrate my sub from a mini mono because the fruits took a bunch of moisture out even as i mist 4 times a day and air it out four times as well. Just curious as to how long i should soak the sub in a bucket for?

I do it for 5-8 hours

4 hours you'll be fine. that's all I've done so far...well between 4-6 hours...I wouldn't go over 8 for bulk

I find that even dunking pf cakes for a few hours is sufficient. I don't know where people are getting this idea that you need to do it overnight or for like 12 hours. Especially if the cakes already have pins on them, 3 hours is plenty. You don't want the pins to start getting goupy.

I pick off all pins that are long enough to be picked before dunking. They'll get nasty anyways & abort. So why not just pick them right then & there. lol. Besides, more weight to nom earlier...

I disagree for pf cakes.....24 hours in my opinion is the best for hydration. Even if you have pins on the cakes it won't hurt....Pins won't get "goupy" with a 24 hour dunk....

i agree i allways dunk for 24hrs and pins do fine. however i have never tryed dunking a cake for only a few hrs so it might work just as well. but dunking for 24hrs will not harm pins so why not dunk them for 24hrs just to ensure its fully hydrated
