What is this I hear of adding detergent to syringes?

I heard somewhere on here about using a drop of Cascade or other detergent in syringes, but I couldn't figure out what that was for. Anyone have any info on this and what advantage this might give?

To lessen the surface tension of the water so the spores suspend better.

Does this mean in layman's terms that the spores don't clump up as much in the syringe?

yes.
1 drop per 200 ml of water is all that?s needed.

Of "dishwasher rinsing liquid".

And it?s not a must, the use is optional.

That makes so much sense now...
I wonder if those little bugs that ride the surface tension is creeks (I'm sure you've come across them) would be able to "walk" on detergented water.

Sorry if this is off topic : )
