The need for frost is a myth I think. But definitely a temperature drop to trigger fruiting, i think this is probably anything under about 6 degrees C.
Interesting about Rhododendron, as noted by Stamets the wood-inhabiting Psilocybe seem to like these.

I'm guessing not. I think P. Cubensis is the only psychoactive fungi that grows in that medium. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Found some nice Weraroas when I walked out my front door this morning:P

A few decently large ones at that:D Any dosage information for a level 3-ish experience from someone versed in Weraroa would be much appreciated:)

Haha, nice grow jars. I tried that once, in the UK several years ago. I ended up with bacterial contamination and had to chuck the lot. Moral of the story, buy a pressure cooker. Are you really growing cubes in the middle of the season? Want to swap spore prints, I have a few P.sub. prints to spare...lol :-P

i have bioassayed this species, and yes, the specimens i had were very potent. they also dont taste too bad, kindof a pleasant nutty taste. however, i wouldnt recommend experimentation.
