Does anyone use a cool mist humidifier and get good results? I hooks mine up and it leaks like a sieve plus my chamber was the dryest its ever been. Maybe im doing something wrong

i had the same problem. you need to seal all openings much tighter, there are too many leaks - the humidity is therefore not reaching your chamber, but only dry air, hence the dryness you're experiencing. keep at it, you'll get it to work & you're going to love it

What I did..was to seal all cracks with silicone..then I drilled a new hole in the side of the humidifier and stuck a tube in it, to which I connected to an upside down 2 liter bottle with the bottom cut off..which is held up by a ghetto-rigged base. This enables easy water refilling.

Also..your exhaust hole in the terrarium should only be half the size of the garden hose..if the top lid is not sealed completely you could put some thin weatherstrip on it.

no no your doding it wrong, plug the hole you made allready in your coolmist. now you see where it normally comes out. and it has the lil louvers, pull this out and get some pvc about inch and half and a hole punch to match, drill that opening up and stuff the pvc in there, silicone or epoxy in place, this is where all the moisture shoots out. you can also just cram a hose in there and slicone it up no prob. just hook your hose up some how to the opening where it normalyy comes out the model you have isnt the one you can jsut stuff a hose anywhere. hope this helps
