Dual Boot windows 7/ ubuntu
    #14133279 - 03/16/11 08:05 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

can i clean up ubuntu from windows or do i have to log into ubuntu?

i have it set up to where my chick and others use ubuntu and i have windows protected with a password.

i clean my shit daily and run scans every few days, but i kinda forgot about ubuntu... i know i dont need to run any scans, but what about dumping all that non sense? if i can do this all from windows everything would be... well, easier.

What type of scans are you referring to? What do you mean by clean up?

Cleaner isn't made to work with linux but BleachBit is like CCLeaner for Linux. You should always find linux based software for any sort of disk clean up or defrag software.

I dual-boot windows 7/ubuntu myself.  I just started using linux for the first time this past month.  I really like everything about it, EXCEPT for the fact that I can not get my sound to work properly.  Everything has to be turned to the max just to get a pretty low volume. I wish I could fix that and if I could I would probably just use linux all the time unless there was a program I needed that only runs on windows.  I just find that ubuntu does everything much, much faster than windows 7.

Check your IRQ and DMA channels to make sure they are right. You can get instructions for this off the manufactures web site if they claim to be linux compatible.
