I agree. I first realized this through the first commandment in the Bible. Thou shall have no other Gods before me. And this naturally requires one to know God so as to avoid making a mistake. And that's pretty darn difficult, so maybe having no God is the best bet. And that of course includes the ego. No need to try and make it something mighty and omniscient

Isn't it more egotistical to think that you need to offer a "Humbling Thread Trick" to the rest of us in-order to reach your level of humbility?

Eh, pride is not necessarily a bad thing. Too much of it and you're an egotistical motherfucker that nobody wants to be around, sure, but too little of it and you're an insecure pushover with no self-confidence. The Middle Way is best here IMO.

If you think the idea was to get others to reach my level of humility you are way off. I hope you all greatly surpass it cuz I'm not that humble compared to the potential. I hope to reach a new level of humility each day.

If there was a constant to my experiences...it would be the concept that it is always Less not More as you move along.
Instead of becoming more humble you become less arrogant for example.

well i think there's two different types of pride
there is one that is more natural and has to do with being the master of your domain a la the lion
there is another that has to do with being the master of others domains a la the ape

I reacted with "Who the fuck does this person think I am?"; what have I proven?
More importantly, what are you proving by declaring what others need?
i had absolutly no doubt SOME ONE would re-act like that- their is more stone throwing and arguing here than cultivation talk. i bet the person that created this site sets back and wonders if RECESS will ever be over. or if any adults will ever log on.

the bizzle said: you need to shut up

if my words offend you then maybe you should take responsibility for your emotions
if someone told me i need to humble myself...if it was a stranger...Bill O'Reilly...if it was The Situation from jersey shore...I hope I wouldn't say or think "who the fuck do you think you are?!?"
I hope I'd stop and reflect on myself and be gracious.
to get offended at someone for telling you you need to humble yourself is staying caught up in the competitive world and society and taking it as an egoistic challenge to your social rank in the hierarchy--its being focused on the person saying it rather than the actual message. so then yeah you need to get over yourself.
