Grav Bongs and Balloons - most powerful experience
    #14131058 - 03/16/11 01:42 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

Last night I had one of the most powerful psychedelic experiences I've ever had.

Now I'm not a stranger of the psychedelic experience by any means but this was powerful, unexpected, and beautiful in the end.

A friend of mine had bought a few boxes of n2o over the weekend and we shared them with my room mates and whoever else wanted to see what it was like.  Lucky for me when he left he left behind 7 carts for me to play with.  So I did.

Last night after work I was just sitting in my room on my computer smokin away.  I prob had about 6 grav bongs out of a little one I made out of a powerade bottle(works great) and so that alone got me really relaxed and just leaning back in my chain spacing out about life.  Then I remembered the extra carts he left me and I just had to indulge.

I loaded up the cracker and filled a balloon with just 1 single cart.  I inhaled it all at once and helf it until I felt the tingling come on then I breathed out into the balloon and sucked it back in and repeated that process twice before leaning back and letting go.

Once the balloon kicked in I was catapulted into hyperspace.  This was expected and I had fun with the short time I knew it was going to last.  I've done n2o a handful of times before so I knew what to expect.  Then the unexpected happened.  I kept going.

Once the n20 wore off I was so relaxed I didn't open my eyes or move.  I just kept leaning back in my chair almost in a medatative state.  That's when I felt the trip come on.  I kept getting more and more relaxed and felt myself slipping away from my body.  I could feel all the energy around me building with great tension.  It came on almost too fast to think about what was going on until it was too late and I was lost in my own mind.  My mind was flooded with old childhood memories.  Some I remember and think about from time to time but as I kept going I started thinking about people and places I had totally forgotten about.  At first it was like as if you normally remember old memories and think of them in almost a 3rd person view but then I noticed I was literally flying through them.  I was IN my old memories flying over them.  It's a complex feeling to explain but I guess the closest to what I was experiencing was like as if I was lucid dreaming.  It felt real.

After a few minutes of my mind being overhwhelmed with old emotions and thoughts I felt as if I had completely left my body and was now in a void of energy just floating there being held up by the energy around me.  At first I was confused because the only time I have ever gotten to this point was on high doses of lsd or dmt.  After a bit of thinking on the matter I figured to stop trying to figure out WHY it was happening and to get the most out of the experience being presented to me.

Now I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but I haven't tripped in quite a while(months at least) and recently I listened to Terance Mckenna's audio book True Hallucinations at work.  So my mind has been activily on the subject for almost a week now.  While listening to his experiences in the amazon it has got me really wanting to try mushrooms again and see where I could be taken to.  Also for those of you who haven't read/listened to the book there is a part where his brother Dennis becomes pretty far out there and proclaims a lot of information to Terance about how to control trips etc.  One of them being to declare the name Dennis in your mind and an entiity will appear and all you have to do is ask where you want to go and you will be shown what you asked.  So I had to try it.

I'm not sure why out of all the infomation I heard in that book that peice came flying at me but I figured it appeared for a reason.  So out of curioisity in my mind I thought of the word Dennis.  At that time my body felt as if it was ripped out of the space I was in and a great energy burst out of me and I no longer felt alone.  I just thought to myself again- there's no way this is really happening to me but again I calmed down and kept going.  The first thing that popped into my head was to see a 1950's dance.  So I concentrated on that idea and sure enough after what seemed like an exhausting amount of energy was drained from me I could see vaguely what was some sort of dance contest or large gathering of people dancing in what in my mind was 50's clothing.  It was incredible.

Towards the end, especially after the Dennis thoughts I was trying my hardest to find my body. I knew where I was but couldn't open my eyes or move any part of my body.  Slowly I became more and more aware of my surroundings and soon enough I opened my eyes and reality rushed back to me.  It was an odd experience to be aware of my body but not able to move any part of it.  I was never afraid of what was going on as I knew I would return but it was still a very odd sensation.

I hope this was entertaining and an interesting read for those of you who took the time.  I've never experienced anything remotely like that.  Especially not on anything helping the way...

If you have any questions just ask as I'm at work and sort of just summerized my experience to the barebones.

Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this?

I can't believe there are so many views but no comments.  is that amount of text really too long for the shot attention spans of this forum?
