These are they, ten in all for those of us who can not count, and chugging along smoothly.

So far there has not been any noticeable signs of contamination, aside from a few exceptions, the majorette look like these:

I am not sure what this condensation is from, and if it is normal or not, but it is there. Should I be worried or is this pretty common?

There is a little condensation on the inside of this jar as well, but it is showing some nice spider webs-like growth.

Anyone have any opinions or see something I do not? Also, is that about the average amount of growth to be seeing at a little over two weeks?
Oh yeah--the PES Hawaiian spores have just been shot into jars. Pictures of those will come around when I come back from vacation in 2 weeks.

I am a bit surprised that there aren't any contaminants yet. I am either lucky, or being super anal about sterilizing anything I have touched has paid off.

Condensation is normal. =)
However, our mycelium looks to be not as white as mine. May be the camera or something.. anyone else notice the off-whiteness?

Glad to hear that the condensation is normal.
The mycelium does seem lighter to other jars I have seen, but I am thinking it has to do with my substrate. It was a finer substrate, with out too many pockets for air--consistency of sand almost.I think it may be this. Some of the areas that have had colonization longer have a whiter color to them.
I think that is whats up, but can someone confirm? =]

I hate to bump this thing, but now I am nervous about growth abnormalities... Thoughts, my fellow shroomery-ers?

your absolutly fine, jars usually will have some condensation in them just due to the difference of temp from outside and the inside where the myc releases heat.

Oh, I am talking about the thin myc spread. It is spreading pretty far, but nearly see through in a lot of places. Condensation is off of my worry list =]

those jars look like they are growing fine, let them colonize completly and then wait a week before birthing.

Hello, I was checking my companies name in a search on Bing and it pulled this page up. I have to say that is an impressive set up you have there. If you don't mine me asking, what do you do with them?

I would be game for that. I am going to take as many prints as possible off of every batch I do--I plan to use them as currency on that market place forum ;]. Aside from the PE-Hawaiian and B+, my next endeavor will be with some Albino A+ and maybe some dancing tigers.

Agreed, but in a bout of paranoia, googled to crap out of all of my user names which revolve around this one, and purged the existence of any tell tail signs of my true identity.

Here is just a little bit of an update on my going on ins the wondrous world of mycology:
All of my cakes were about 90-95 percent colonized by the end of last week, but most seemed to have stalled as they did not progress over the weekend.
As recommended by the all mighty search engine, I flipped the jars, breaking the contact between the cakes and jars. A bit of substrate stuck to the bottom of the jars, but I assume this is normal. Colonization resumed. Hooray.
So, I am hoping to get these puppies into a FC by Saturday. They will have been sitting at +90% for over a week by the time they are birthed. Is this a sufficient amount of time, even with the small stalled patches? Should I go ahead and birth them, or let them sit a while longer?

The substrate at the center is detached from the rest of the cake. Aside from a few of the jars, everything is completely colonized. I will be birthing most of them this weekend.

And this is just because:

8 days ago my cakes entered their fruiting chamber resulting in a single, sexy pin. That's right, one pin

And here are the rest of the cakes, which look awfully un-sexy and barren, and their house:

Hopefully I will be getting more results in the next week or so.
ADD IN:
I am thinking it is a little bit dry in the tub, even with all my misting. I placed a cup of water in the tub directly beneath the light source to help add a bit more moisture, but this may be doing absolutely nothing. The GH in my room is pretty low, maybe a space humidifier would help raise levels inside the tub?
