The Roast Of Donald Trump
#14127023 - 03/15/11 08:12 PM (12 years, 10 months ago) |
|
|
This starts in 20 minutes.
The last one was pretty good, so this one should deliver. Although I thought I heard they weren't going to do another Roast after Greg Giraldo died, but I knew that couldn't be true.
Anyone else watching this?

Its on Comedy Central right now. EST, here.
Snoop was pretty good. The guy after 'the situation' wasn't that bad either - or maybe he just sounded funny relative to the guy who went just before him.

The Situation went up to the microphone, wearing Aviator sunglasses, and proceeded to bomb all over the place. His jokes were so bad that one Comedy Central exec suggested that most of his act might be cut from the final broadcast of the roast, which airs March 15. “The Sitch,” as he’s called, deadpanned to Cummings, “I actually wouldn’t call you a grenade because you won’t be blowing up anytime soon.” (Buh-dum-bum!) He told Snoop Dogg that he and Trump had a lot in common because Trump owned a lot of property and Snoop’s ancestors were property. (Snoop did not appear amused.) Before long, the audience began to boo so loudly that comedian Jeffrey Ross, who’s been at this so long he’s known as the Roastmaster General, had to interject into the act to try to save the Situation, who’d already claimed he shared one quality with Ross: “This is my first night doing comedy.” “It’s also your last,” Ross responded, to overwhelming applause.
Im trying to find the unedited, uncensored, uncut copy of the 'situations' act, so horrible, whos idea was it too put him on there? I mean it almost makes me think, that someone actually knew he was going to bomb bad and in that making him funny, lol.

It was definitely not intentional on his part. When I laughed it was at him,not with him

I really doubt he is that clever. Norm Macdonald intentionally bombing in the Bob Saget roast however was masterful.
I enjoyed this roast overall, got a lot of good laughs out of it.

oh christ no, who in there right mind would put him on the show and think he would actually tell funny jokes? from the moment I saw him on there and learned of his appereance I was expecting something bad, but nothing as horrible as that. Someone find me the uncut version. But yeah lots of good laughs to be had.

they have writers.. Larry King and Trump didnt write any of their own material.
if i were to guess, id say that someone did write jokes for Situation but that dude is so full of himself that he decided to do his own thing (which is why he bombed so badly).
i posted this link in the Simpsons thread but here it is again..
you can hear one of the writers, Jesse Joyce, talk about all the behind the scenes stuff here: http://www.keithandthegirl.com/Show-Detail/2015/Freedom-of-Speech.aspx
Jesse was basically a partner with Giraldo for all the previous roasts.
EDIT: roast talk starts about a half hour into that episode.

My thoughts exactly. The Situation was fucking horrible, I'm glad he got booed off stage, he sucked and didn't deserve to be there other than to be made fun of. Snoop was fucking great. Larry King was sharp as a tack too... Impressive for a dude his age.

Did anyone else see "Sitch" on Conan? He couldn't stop staring at himself on the monitor. I love the South Park where Randy beats his ass.
What a blow hard douche.
This is only a partial clip of the interview. He spent 3/4 of the interview checking himself out.

Try Battle Los Angeles. That movie is so horrible I literally can't even watch it. At least the film score is half way decent and the sounds. The plot is horrible, the acting and the overall film is worse then a B movie. At least they have a plot, jesus.

id be shocked if Anthony Jeselnik made 1/10th of that.
Situations cash will be gone 6 months after his popularity runs out though... homeboy doesnt seem like a saver.

An example of one of The Situation's jokes? According to the Times piece, "He told Snoop Dogg that he and Trump had a lot in common because Trump owned a lot of property and Snoop's ancestors were property."

yea i don't see why COMEDY CENTRAL hosts a roast of motherfucking donald trump AND decides to put the #1 douchebag 'celebrity' right now on the show. makes me think comedy central is just dying for more views. i mean come on, charlie sheen would be a much better candidate for a roast than donald trump IMO

lol i just hope that was the people at comedy central's intention from the beginning. i sincerely hope they weren't trying to give mr situation his big comedy break i hope he gives up on rapping before he finds out firsthand that he's terrible at that too.

He was trying to buddy up to Snoop, shoulder bumps and whatnot. But the D-O double-G was having none of it. The Dog can smell dumbasses a mile away, so I imagine sitting in such close proximity was pretty awful.
