how do they look. my first time.

The first pic is a pic of cakes birthed 5 days ago.
the rest are pics of cakes that are 20 days old in the fc and only 1 pin that has not grown much. any help would be great. I was told to redunk last night does that sound like a good idea for the 20 day old cakes.

As far as i can see it is looking good. Your FC has enough holes and seems to be at the right humidity (except the fact that there should be no condensation on the sides). Do you have holes on all 6 sides of the tub?

yep holes all 6 sides. I mist the sides and cakes like crazy sometimes thats why all the droplets. I am afraid of them drying out. why 20 days and only a mini pin. Maybe to much misting? picked a cake up yesterday and it felt wet on the top and bottom but felt dry and light in the middle?

That is maybe a little too much misting. Mist once or max. twice daily, not more.

i suggest that when you mist heavily that you fan for longer too. so like if your misting for 30 seconds, fan heavily till your arm hurts and you see noticeable evaporation from your cake. when you do that you help in the formation of pins.
pins love evaporation!
your setup looks perfect for what you have. now its down to finding the right balance of misting and fanning. i expect those cakes will flush well, give them two days!

This is where I might have made a mistake. I was reading around and heard the same thing evaporation leads to pinning so I figured I was misting to much and stoped on day 15 and noticed some bluing on the top of 2 cakes so I started mistig again like crazy thinking they where drying out. was this wrong?

your problem is that you stopped misting.the moisture in the air isnt enough to keep your cakes hydrated. your cakes still need moisture replenishment from misting, and then when you fan them you allow for a large amount of fast evaporation which in my experience really really really helps for a good flush.

My buddy could never get cakes to pin either.
What about buying a coir brick, breaking the cake up into it, then letting it recolonize in an opaque rubbermaid - then using the wax paper trick and an ultra sonic humidifier to get a good pinset?
Here is an example: http://i55.tinypic.com/35m1t87.jpg
Those were cased AND wax papered, not sure I'd risk casing 20 day old half-dead cakes though, your already pushing the boundaries of trich.
See how humid everything looks in the picture? There's probably 500 pins there, no aborts. The biggest pin there is the size of a quarter.
Think it was cased, left 3-4 days, wax papered, left 7 days under 12/12 light, and then your looking at about day 3-4 under the coolmist with 12/12 lighting. Probably 25 days from casing to first flush, but it was a huge flush.

I would do it as a last resort. I just want to be able to get a print or two so I can become self sufficent seems like I would push it since the cakes are so old. I am getting discuraged 20 days and 1 pin that popped up on day 16 and has oinly seemed to get a little fatter what gives?

Wish I could tell you - I think the PF tek sucks in general and have no idea why anyone does it, except for historical reasons, or because it can be one of the fastest spore to fruit teks.
Can you do the wax paper trick on a cake? Might be worth trying - just mist the cake good and wrap it in wax paper for a week or until little pins show up.

could it be that it will just take longer to pin since tall 1/2 pints jars were used? coloinization was slow almost a month.

Let me tell you somethings I have been switching around lately that allowed me to see a few pins(better than nothing) pop up.
I was in the same boat no pins for weeks, and so I did a re-dunk I refreshed my perlight, and I went through and any holes I thought might have been too close together I taped up.
The tape helped I noticed my chamber doesn't drop the humidity as fast now, and it holds onto a steady number for a longer period of time.
I also started to spray generously and then I take a clip fan I have, and mount it on my FC and blow directly on the cakes for a couple of minutes until all water is evaporated. then I give one mist very high above the chamber let it fall in and close it up.
Since then I have noticed some improvements, so I hope this helps.
But dont get discouraged and keep your head up. This is a great hobby that is not only teaching me new life lessons PATIENCE but its not as easy as some people make it out to be. Everyone's situation is different so what worked for suzzy might not necessarily work for matt.
Just keep reading, and keep trying I am sure you will get it down.
