Problems with windows after partition

I started using ubuntu 10.10 very recently, long story short I made the partition too small, tried to make it bigger with gparted, now windows won't work.
I reduced the window's partition about 30 gigs, before that I unmounted it, the option for windows still appears on GRUB but whenever I try to go into it I get the choose windows configuration screen (saftey mode, last working configurations, etc.), but no matter what configuration I choose I can't log in.
All help is GREATLY appreciated, thanks in advance

seems like i've booted up w/ a windows disc and used its repair options for similar situations

You might have corrupted the Windows partition. That's why all partitioning tools show a warning when you're about to resize a partition. You might be able to fix it, but I'd go for a reinstall of Windows.

Where could I find this disc and how do I burn it to a physical CD?
Already tried google, can't seem to make the disc run on startup.

wait, you have a windows os install disc that won't boot when you start your computer? for that, you'd need to go into bios and change your boot priority so that your dvd drive is before your hard drive.
if you don't have a windows installation disc, i suppose you could look for a torrent or find it on usenet
