i hope most of my waiters and waitresses remember me as the guy who spreads happiness.
While I don't think money directly equates to happiness, I totally know what you're talking about brother
I served in restaurants for three and a half years, and those years we're crazy hard because of depending on someones kindness for you're paycheck.
Luckily I was very good at what I did, so I never got less then i expected, although it was difficult to save up then. I always tip big, and I don't mean 30%. I tip as big as I can, when I can. That often means grossly large tips hehe
mmm, i deliver pizza currently, and i know how important tips are. today i worked for 4 hours. walked out with 67 dollars in tips plus the 8.25 hourly pay. 100 dollars for 4 hours, not bad.
some days are a lot worse... i got lucky today.. one guy gave me 10.90 for a tip and another gave me 20 dollars.
it ruled.

I was retarded, just grinning from ear to ear staring in wonderment at everything, basically unable to speak. So my friends had to kinda babysit me but I couldnt stop saying nice things about them so they were okay with it. They at some point decided to leave the festival ad walk to lafayette coney island (a famous 24 hour diner in detroit run by a bunch of gruff angry middle eastern guys thats open 24/7).
One memorable quote: "You have to take the binky out now." "BUT WHY?????" "Because everyone in the resteraunt will think its weird when a grown ass man with a huge smile walks in gnawing on a binky." "awwwwww...."
anyway, they all ordered and when the guy looked at me i just shook my head and looked away. so he left.
"Why didnt you order anything?" "I'm afraid to talk to that guy you guys have to order for me." "okay. what do you want?" "...apple pie."
ever since then i've had an odd fondness for apple pie.
It'd probly be a better story if you'd ever been to lafayette coney island. Its just a very gritty, raw, "detroit" kinda place.
Awesome post!
I forgot about rolling and eating out, because that happens more frequently when out and about at raves or festivals
and i agree, that is one awesome story
lets see if i fucked up the quotes or not. if i did, sorry.. if i didn't, then i rule.

Well why don't you tell that story instead, it sounds like it would be hilarious!

I went to Ruth's Chris steakhouse with my parents when I was 18-19 and i was tripping balls on 2c-I....I mean tripping so hard i was seeing things and drumming on the table and cheesing.
My hair was down to the middle of my back (which coincidentally it is now too) and I was wearing a rayon tropical shirt with dragons on it.
The people who were seated at another table were mocking me saying things like "hey mom, hey dad, I just got back from dead tour!"
My parents were completely oblivious to the situation.

Thats pretty good, I dont think I'd have the balls to do that I've tripped and rolled around my Nana, and to be honest my parents would be ok with it, but Ruths Chris steakhouse!? hahah I would be bummed that I couldnt enjoy that steak with my normal wits about me to savor!!

Well I didn't this time. It fucking hurt my head. Everything looked wrong. Reply count some letters dancing around in another land....
Okay on topic, One time coming back from a dead show, or the parking lot. And on the way back from Oakland to Auburn my friend the driver wanted some food. Well of course I tested the dose, maybe 2 hits? We ended up around Vacaville stopping at a Denny's. I should have ordered waffles dammit but I was kind of lost and just ordered something which included pancakes. I swore up and down that these pancakes where undercooked and gooey and... well I hardly ate. My friend kept saying nah man they look fine. Whatever I did not eat them.
In any case I can maintain on LSD, nothing else weird happened there, it was all the rest of the drive home.

It was something that sorta popped up which I forgot about. I also didnt plan on tripping for 3 days but didnt know you arent supposed to eat a gram of 2c-i. This was before ANYTHING was well known about dosing on it.

Second time doing acid. Just left the beach where we saw the sunrise and took a swim. Covered in sand and water. Made our way to an empty diner (must have been like 7 am), we were the only customers in there. The 4 of us. We order our food and next thing we see is two decked out police officers come in. These guys looked like SWAT! And of course where do they sit? In the fucking booth next to 4 people tripping balls on lsd. Most intense hour of my life! I could not eat my pancakes That waiter got a niiiice tip

I went to Chipotle once while on just 1 hit. Watching the beautiful spiral patterns in the sauces was pretty awesome. It was hard to eat though, I kept staring at my burrito and everything inside looked just way too strange.
