I got straight A's all through middle school and high school, even though I didn't give a shit about school and saw what utter bullshit it all was.... but it was a control thing, and a weird obsession with the illusion of the achievement. I'm done with my community college shit now w/ a 3.8, but it's been easy as fuck. I'm about to transfer to the university, upper level type courses now for my bachelor degree and it might get a little harder... probably a lot harder. So I'll see what happens. Still have at least 2 years of undergrad and 2 years of grad to go though.
edit: I am glad I did that shit in high school though, because my college is 100% paid for with about $1000 still left over every semester that goes into my pocket. So at least it wasn't just all for fucking nothing.

I realized too late that I don't want to be mediocre.
Idk what the fuck is wrong with me. I'm the kinda person that highschool teachers would say "doesnt apply himself". No matter how much I want to. I really hate to say ADD has anything to do with it because it sounds like such a lame excuse. But I seriously find myself accidentally wasting hours. I just get super focused on things and seem to have no control over what I get super focused on. Like I need to study and want to study but I cant stop reading about some random subject on wikipedia. And then even when I sit down and am like "Okay, I will NOT take a break until I've finished this chapter" five minutes later I'm reading about Aleister Crowley and I'm just like "WTF? how did I even start doing this? I was studying and then all of a sudden "HOLY SHIT DIDN'T ALEISTER CROWLEY SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THIS? I HAVE TO LOOK IT UP NOW"

Finished grad.
Between high school, undergrad, and grad school I'd say I probly averaged a 3.5 in academia.
Mostly A/B's.. hit a C or two in undergrad probably.
Poll looks better than I thought it would, that's for sure.

Straight A's in high school, A's and B's in college (our school was ranked 2nd in the Nation for the quantity of homework we receive), out in the world getting "real world job experience" before I take on le' graduate school. Have yet to take the GRE's, but from what I've heard its a lot of hype over a bigboy ACT/SAT.
My Achilles heel was taking classes outside of my interest. I found two majors that I fell in love with, but when it came to requirements outside of my division (mainly the social sciences) I couldn't find it within myself to take the assignments seriously. No lie, it took two tries before I could gut out the stupidity of political science (personal bias, no offense to those in the field).
And its not a grade, but I dominated undergraduate thesis. Like I wrote it, rewrote it many times over, and then slapped my cock on the 52 pages of grandeur.
...sorry, its not often that I get to "Go off" about my education; I'm damn proud of what I accomplished.

I really enjoyed school. I took all of the classes I could for pass/fail but had a 4.0 otherwise. I still managed to fail a lot of classes. One semester I only passed one class, but I think they only ever talked about putting me on probation. By some miraculous set of accidents I manged to never actually get kicked out or suspended. Now I'm currently on a voluntary leave of absence and need one class to graduate. I dunno, almost every one of my friends who did graduate on time now is looking for a new job. A few are going to grad school but the only ones with jobs have jobs they had in college. I was really bad about procrastinating and failed a lot of those classes because I never turned in the final papers. At some point I decided I wanted to take that seriously and actually try to learn something about myself and the world, that's also about one semester before I started failing my classes. In the end I just kind of decided I was going to do what I was going to do, learn what I wanted to learn, and fuck the world and cum on everybody. My professors all reacted a little differently to this new and enlightened world view. And I see now they were completely right to slap me down from that shit-cloud I was floating around on. But when I was doing my own thing I wasn't procrastinating, it was really cool to see that was even a possibility for me. What I did was indulgent and privileged, but I haven't spent much on school because I was on scholarship most of the time. Now I have to go back and take one class, and I'll take it very seriously I imagine. I don't regret any of it, but looking back there were probably a lot simpler ways of going about this.

Haha I look on facebook at this one girl who liked me but I was too shy to talk to so instead I kept dating this evil bitch who screwed me over constantly. Now that girl is still fucking gorgeous and she's in art school living in England doing all kinds of cool shit. I live at home struggling with school, life in general and mental illness. Facebook can be damn depressing sometimes . Seeing all the awesome things other people are doing...its a harsh reality sometimes. But I'm pickin myself back up and I think I'm back on track to still turn out to be an awesome person.

heh. I wish someone would tell me that thats what I have. Then maybe I wouldnt feel like I'm so lazy. That actually sounds a lot like me. Idk that I'm smart enough to have that though.
The part about having to spend hours and hours studying every night sounds a lot like my highschool experience though.

I skipped more days than I went in high school, Going to a community college now getting A's and B's. I never study, I always was and probably always will be the type of person that only is able to take tests. I usually understand new concepts the first time, so I don't study because I can just ace the test. This behavior is probably gonna bite me in the ass though.

I got straight A's in high school and for the first couple semesters of college... after that the drugs and parties started to escalate. Right now I have a 3.875 and haven't gotten below a B (in my fourth year of college).
