hey guys sorry to post here but i couldnt find the answer anywhere else. we are building a shotgun terrarium but my friends house is older and possibly has mold in the basement where the fc will be. i have heard that once the cakes are fully colonized they are resistant to contamination.. is this true? is the air exchange coming from the basement into the fc going to be a problem?
thanks guys!

Bomb it with oust regularly. Buy like a case of them. I live in this ghetto apartment with lots of mold. I've been spraying regularly. Besides, its probably good to get ahold of that problem anyways. Mold=unhealthy...

Oust won't help with mold. Oust is for airborne bacteria.
However, house molds rarely infect mushroom projects. The best way to avoid them is with lots of fresh air, so if you're growing in a basement, keep a window cracked all the time. RR
