I wouldn't try to dunk a bucket like that. I would let it sit around for a week or so after harvest then give it a decent soaking with a hose or something and then just make sure it doesn't dry out.

ok...I picked all the fruits and aborts from first flush...then I figgered that big Rubbermaid tote on the front porch could be multi-tasked,...filled it with tap water then dunked the bucket in for 6 hours...2nd crop just starting to peek out...will be a bigger flush methinks...next dunk will be 12 hours...so many variables at play...only one of me....
thanks for the help guys... )

Well...now I have another problem...my neighbor likes these Oysters so much he wants to help finance a small test grow...I have a 5hp wood chipper/shredder for the straw...I have an old 66 22ft gutted motorhome still has the 425 Toronado engine and front wheel drive transmission that runs...anyone restoring something like this???)...I have been collecting 2.5 and 5 gallon pails...my plan is to seal up any holes to the outside save 2 for drainage...cover the floor with 3/8 underlay sheets...caulk all the joints and edges...paint the whole thing with mold paint...hook up a window style A/C...humidifier...radiant type heater..2 rows of mister infested PVC piping...then I'll need controller for temp and humidity...I'll stack the pails so no need for shelving...hope to find a couple 4ft florescent water proof fixtures for lighting...mostly I need spacing between misters and help with solid controllers...I'll be getting a new AA PC...I'm thinking 30 QT...will use a steel drum and propane burner to past. straw...have a stainless steel "processing table" to cool and spawn straw...if you see something not covered here or have suggestions just sing out!!!!
I have a budget of $5,000...but think I kin come in way below this...thanks for all advise and criticism...

Why use a motor home? For $5,000 you can build one hell of a shed to act as your fruiting facility. You'll have a lot more space and significantly more flexibility when it comes to design considerations.
