Where do you get that idea? From what I've read the organizations are still putting on separate events. Plus the UFC will now be advertising for strike force, calling more attention to their events. This will probably mean there are more MMA competitions each month because UFC has a bigger talent pool and Strikeforce has better promotion.
Not that I'm saying I'm in support of the move, but they hardly "killed strikeforce like they did pride". Not yet at least.

No biggie, Dana White did what any fight promoter whould have done. Good timing to, with the WEC influx there'll be a lot of good matches to be made. That is if they do any crossover fights in he near future.
I'm still somewhat unclear on how and when SF fighters will start to fight UFC fighters. Will it be like pride where fighters are free to make their own deals? Or wil it be like WEC where Zuffa runs it for a while and then merges it into the UFC?

That's not how it works dude. That's not how it worked with Pride. That's not how it worked with the WEC. And that's definitely not how it will work with Strikeforce.
They'll sign their best fighters, dump the rest, and continue to put out watered down shit-cards because the UFC has never really been a good recruitment source for unknown top MMA talent.
